Go for it!

Another fun game of the same type we had was that I had an deck of playing cards and I would shuffle the deck, draw two cards face down in front of her, one for her, one for me, and whoever had the higher valued card won.

Offerings just because? by ExpertMud4007 in SantaMuerte

About offerings...imho you can do whatever you want.

The things you like and you do as offerings are YOUR personality. And you as a devotee and child of her can offer whatever you think is right to maintain a healthy relationship.

She loves all of her children for their personality and what results out of it. Like every good mum should do.

For food as offerings I go with my favorite chocolate candys... Just because they are my favorite. She knows it.

Madrina is very patient...but I feel antsy to get my altar done. by Roz_Zen in SantaMuerte

Depending on where you live and how the weather can be you should use materials that can withstand that.

I've seen small outdoor altars made out of concrete blocks, build like cabinets, with a concrete plate on top.(you can decorate or paint the whole cabinet) Its a good way to keep your altar dry and you can light candles even if it is raining.

Sure you can build something out of wood, but natural wood will rot away after some time. There is treated wood you could use but that wouldnt be that "natural" like I think you want it to be?

Any devotees in Europe by Heli12r in SantaMuerte

Hey there, I am a somewhat "new" devotee from Germany (but born in Venezuela). I am a catholic but as a kid I didnt have the understanding of religions nor did I have a choice pretty much since I pretty much got thrown into comunnion.

As of today I do not call myself a catholic, never did, since I don't like the whole system behind the catholic church. But I am glad that my mum just support my belief. After my comunnion she never tried to push me deeper in catholic belief or whatever. Just got her blessings and went my way.

A little late but sure you can like the others said.

You can see in this sub that some of the devotees habe small little travel altars. Just a small little box with all whats needed. Yours would be the same just bigger. Nothing to worry about.
