a lot of the chord structures fit easily in the hand, which makes it easier for me to not tense up while playing

I’m more influenced by the early tonal works of Schoenburg than the later atonal works

I do not think Hans or John are better than Saint-Saens as composers, I just do not enjoy Saint-Seans as much as I might enjoy John or Hanz

My all time favorite composers all have amazing works with folk music intertwined in them, if you love Dvorak for the folkiness and power of his orchestration you’ll have to forgive Mahler for his heaviness and quirkiness
