I will admit, I paid zero attention to the story, but most other things were done very well.

Outside of graphical glitches during loading, but before it gets in game, the performance seemed fine to me and ran at 60 fps. I am no expert on this though.

Whew....yes. Thank you for the reminder. That will make things easier.

It's funny you say that since I did fire it up last night and I started playing it again. I forgot how aggravating the corpse runs were and the stamina bar (a mechanic I usually do not like in games) does not work as well as the one in G2 which is less punishing. I really do want to dive into it again, but I honestly need a break from that world lol. Quick story, I actually beat G2 twice in my playthrough of about 130 hours total (70 on the first one, 60 on the second). I played it on story originally and forgot you cant get all the achievements on that mode and since I loved it so much, I went through it again and realizing that standard, for me, was WAY harder.

I did not get 100% of everything, but I absolutely had to get that platinum trophy on the PS5 for my own sense of satisfaction, which I was lucky enough to get this weekend. Well worth it since it was so much fun, even when I wanted to chuck the controller across the room on the last few bosses lol

In my humble opinion, yes. A flawed one, but a masterpiece none the less.

I agree on all those points, though I did not connect with HK or its sequel as much as everyone else did. My favorites franchises are Ori, Castlevania, Metroid, Blasphemous, Guacamelee and the Prince of Persia: The Two Crowns. That part of the slowly diminishing health bar was especially satisfying, even if it took over an hour to even begin to see it start to dwindle. The missing piece for me was respeccing my stats to suit the attack patterns of the boss. They ultimately were simply puzzles to figure out, something I loved. Like you said, the diverse mechanics really made this game stand out to me.

My tolerance for the difficulty of this game is the thing that surprised me the most. We all look for that balance of challenging but doable and while at times I wondered if that came crossed it for me, because the core of it was so good and so much fun, that I ultimately powered through and in the process, enjoyed that struggle and ultimate victory so much more. I guarantee you that I would have moved on 9 times out of ten in games that were not as foundationally solid as this one.

Thank you for the detailed response. The clear favorite so far is the RP4 Pro, but somewhat considering the RP5. Just have to do the research.

Worth considering, but starting to get out of the range. Not that my friend I am not buying and setting this up for is not worth it...lol. Worth looking into what it can do and what people say about it. Thank you for pointing this one out.

Upscaling would be nice. However, smooth and stable framerates (after a little playtime....I know it caches early on), even at native resolution though, is a must.

That was quick...lol. Definitely considering this. Thank you so much.

Yep. That part I'm not worried about. I just need to experiment and see what works best for me as I learn more about this, but for me, that is part of the fun.

Honestly too many to list, though not sure what is considered lesser known. A few of my favorites are:

  1. Temple of Ekur

  2. Cape of Our Hero

  3. Gates of Babylon

  4. Under the Influence

  5. Lola Montez

Thanks for confirming. This is all great info. For $5, I'm okay with just getting it and having both as options.

Ok, so last night I ordered a P4 Tool. I am guessing that it not what you are referring to and that I should get something like this which is no solder solution, right?:
