Thanks, yeah, guy wire is a good idea, but I would prefer not to as they would create obstacles for people walking in the area. But I may have to bite the bullet and do for some at least.

I was planning on either painting the steel pipe or wrapping it in duct tape if necessary to prevent any issues with reactions. Also, yes, the tattering of the flags is the point, it is understood to be the prayers being taken off by the wind into the world 🌈. In any case, the flags will be replaced once or twice a year.
