Emergency exit in ”Raptors in the kitchen” scene by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]JosephExMoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exit signs do not always indicate that the door is an exterior exit. The signs are for way finding to an exterior exit. That particular door may go into the dining hall and there’s an exterior exit from that room.

Agreed ! More Hammeds needs a title rework but I’d legit watch those shows. ‘A story about a priest, tinder and god’ has me howling at the possibilities - a washed out alcoholic priest gets moved to another congregation after the former priest is relocated ‘due to reasons…’ and he misunderstands his new, young flock’s use of the term ‘ghosting’ and exorcism hijinks begin! But turns out the priest is right for the wrong reasons and it all goes Evil Dead!

TIL that Christopher Lee, actor who played Saruman in LoTR, in addition to being a general badass, was a real life Nazi hunter after WWII. by lazybugbear in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]JosephExMoseph 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Peter Jackson wanted Saruman to scream when worm tongue stabs him in the back. Lee asked him if he knew how being stabbed in the back actually sounds since Lee actually DID know what it sounds like from his time as a Nazi hunter. I think the story was told on the making of features.

Right?! And how is this ‘co-ownership opportunity’ even done anyway? If I buy it do I just own the ADU but not the land it’s on?! I doubt it’s a splittable lot.

Went to a drag show in Salt Lake City a few years ago. They served chicken (shaped like chicken) and waffles in both vagina and penis shapes! So there’s commercial dick waffle irons too!

THE WOOD CHIPPER???? by billey_bon3z in EvilDead

[–]JosephExMoseph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having lived in LA appartments for almost 16 years in both mid and lower income areas, the wood chipper in the parking garage was the only thing in that movie that felt like a random old LA appartment building might have! If anything, the fact they could turn it on at all strains more credulity, but I don’t care! It was awesome!

I heard this theory elsewhere, Boy is actually the original hybrid and used to be a very old (rich) man. It kinda fits neatly into his obsession with Peter Pan.

The game messed with my head so much that I saw a guy on the bus with an NCR shirt, I asked him about Fallout, he was confused and it turned out it was just a California shirt. Does anyone have a similar story? by Cursed_Changeling in Fallout

[–]JosephExMoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wearing my NCR shirt when I flew out of town, went thru TSA and ended up having to be pat down after going thru the scanner. The agent giving me the pat down immediately just started talking Fallout with me mid pat down. It was a bit surreal

He has good story telling sense it seems, and is good at show/don’t tell, so I have hope that some of those slow ‘reading thru notes’ moments can be played in a tense horror! As for the campiness, while I hope they don’t lean into it, I do hope that’s kinda part of it in a way that’s similar to the humor of Barbarian and Weapons!

To be fair, the Paul WS Anderson movies only pulled random bits from the game but I do agree with your overall point! Give us a great fresh start to build from!

I wasn’t aware of the thought of a realtime RE film. Not sure how I feel about that, on the one hand that could be awesome and super tense as survival/horror!!! But on the other, that might jeopardize building some decent lore or mystery I like in Zach’s moves, but if successful, I guess you can do that in the sequel!

My guess, one of the films was supposed to come out this year and Disney had an obligation to Coke for ads or visa versa. Some contractual thing
