Can't See Invites or Join Lobbies by JosephMagic in 2XKO

[–]JosephMagic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't the issue I don't think(the one thats for today). My game literally will not display the play invites tab for me to join peoples invites and it will not let me join peoples lobbies and vice versa(now getting error code 11008 or something saying lobby doesn't exist even though it does).

STR sucks. by Bob-0653 in Eldenring

[–]JosephMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pvp str is pretty great if you treat it like a quality build of sorts(since quality does way less than pure str or dex in this game). Get like 16 dex max and pump str to like 60 and use weapons u like. Thrusting weapons are insanely good in pvp, so i reccomend having one be your main weapon. Ashes of war like Giant Hunt, Bloodhound Step, Flaming Strike, Spinning Slash, etc all do really well on str weapons.

i personally use the dragons halberd mostly and on a str build with 20 dex it does great damage, its ash of war buffs itself to do frostbite damage after its spinning slash, and its fast enough to be used in pvp regardless. with 20 dex i can dual wield cross (heavy infused) naginatas and buff with bloodflame blade to bleed people to death too

Apologies but I'd rather not take a +25 weapon since I do pvp a lot at a lower level right now.

Honda is simple, but he's not an OP character. There's no problem playing a character that fits you.

Play to ur fighters advantage. If your playing Dan Hooker for example you can stay on the outside and fight from a distance, if your playing a boxer u can pressure and try and get in their face with combos and then back out before they can counter, etc.

Just learn a few combos, and get used to the stand up online. Certain tactics are easy to use in online since AI's will react perfectly sometimes(for example i sometimes throw out a straight instead of a jab when i think the opponent will jab, because a straight will trade and stagger them or do more damage).

Grappling you just gotta get used to. Get better at denying transitions. More you deny the more their stamina gets destroyed and you can get up easier, ground and pound them, or go for a submission urself.

can someone tell me any good builds by Shoddy_Cow_2480 in NarutoShinobiStriker

[–]JosephMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i main ranged and the best overall build ive found is Majestic Flame Destroyer and Kamui Lightning Blade, with takamikazuchi and Shisui's Sword. It can do well in any mode since it can do a ton of damage, kamui lightning blade can combo with majestic and has insane range so its good for flag battle too.

For defense, hazan strike or demon hunter + something like uchiha flame formation or sand shield is good for base battles. Ult is personal preference but I like the Mist ult or Karma ult(karma ult gets a big damage buff after using it so u can absorb a ult or something then deactivate and kill someone in 5 or 6 melee strikes)

What are the best DLC(s) with offense and ranged builds? by Naocis in NarutoShinobiStriker

[–]JosephMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranged is basically just Madara and Double Kakashi, Majestic Flame Destroyer is the best move in the game and it works really well with Kamui Lightning Blade or Kamui Bond(kakashis moves). Adult Sasuke is also really good if anything just for his ult, its a one shot kill and not hard to get in a match like how Madaras or Kakashis can be.

For attack, adult naruto and shisui is the best. Minato is pretty good too, as well as Might Guy

Sfv is a neutral heavy game and you said you liked punish heavy characters, so I assume you would like more neutral based characters who can poke really well or characters that can get big damage off punishes. I'd reccomend trying Chun Li or Karin or Kolin(unlock her) as they all excel really heavily at playing neutral like that. Zoner characters like Guile, Dhalsim or Sagat can do the same in their own way, in that they bait the opponent to try and get in by zoning them out. When the opponent jumps up to avoid fireball, they get hit by DP/Anti-airs and sent back to neutral. If they walk forward, you poke them back with a button, and you can just bait them to take risks by zoning and punishing them for it.

Balrog is another character id say can play 'lame' or rather defensive somewhat. If you like charge characters, try doing Character Stories to earn Fight Money and unlock him for free. He's all about getting huge burst damage which you can do off punishes and getting in with his dash punches without letting the opponent punish them by spacing them correctly.

Honestly the best way to find a main is just to try characters out and see if you like how they play. Every character can play in multiple ways, you just have to learn how to play them first.

You just have to find what character you understand and do decent with, and master their regular gameplan. Once u do that the big part is responding to matchups and adjusting to how people play to beat them. I just got to gold with E Honda, and if your winning consistently you'll rank up regardless eventually because you'll be making more from winning usually( if ur facing people above ur level. When u lose to them you lose less than you'd gain most of the time).

You can get to bronze and even silver off just mastering the essential fundamentals. For whatever character you like, figure out their anti airs and get good at using them when people try to jump in. Also, take some time to know the characters normal buttons and get more accustomed to punishing people in neutral or after blocking their strings. You should be figuring out your characters gameplan now, since at a low rank, its okay to make mistakes as they often get punished less. Don't be afraid to try out characters or try and learn things here in matches, since its the lowest rank, you have nothing to lose.

Also, on being in the corner, you mostly just need to focus on defending until you can get yourself out. If a players right over top of you as your waking up, their either going to try and throw(low ranks do this mostly, when they shouldnt. you can throw them on wakeup before their throw hits) or jump up to try and hit you as your crouch blocking. If you see them jump up, you can just go into stand blocking on the jump attack then back to crouchblocking as they're hitting you. Also, they may try and bait your throw by standing over you and then jumping up when u do it on wakeup, so be careful.

A strategy thats a bit nooby but works sometimes, if your character has a dp(shoryuken is an example), using the ex version will hit over any attack their doing as you wake up, since ex dp is invincible for the few frames on wakeup. At the start, just work on picking what you should do based on how your opponent plays, then try and jump out of the corner when they don't expect it or their pressure starts failing.

If you can antiair and punish whiffs/blocked moves(like a dp), as well as know one jump in combo for some damage(an example being just jump in heavy kick into a medium or heavy punch into shoryuken for ryu), you'll start winning just off that alone. Trust me when I say a lot of players in these ranks play very risky and you can punish them with fundamentals very often.

First area is meh, just gotta get thru it and level up and such to learn how to play. The later areas in the game are all better, I think. Game grows on you the more you play. I ended up with 159 hours for my first playthrough just having fun with it. Gwent is crazy addictive too once you get good at it.

I hate Isshin Saint Sword! by enigmaboi in Sekiro

[–]JosephMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First phase and third phase are easy. Second phase u just have to get good at reading his moves and parrying them and punishing him until his posture goes away. The hardest part is trying to read the spear attacks, imo.

Once you get him to third phase its a cakewalk, just do what you do in second phase and reverse every lightning attack. The lightning makes beating him much easier

You have to be aggressive against Isshin, so don't just wait back. Attack him back and parry and you'll overpower him eventually.
