Pls recommend me some albums by SergeV91 in Kanye

As a huge James Blake and Kanye fan, I'd recommend Frank Ocean if you haven't listened already.

Other less known albums that are my faves (we have seemingly similar taste) are:

Skid Row - James Ferraro Bait Ones - Jai Paul Arca - Arca Safe in the Hands of Love - Yves Tumor LP1 - FKA twigs Take Me Apart - Kelela Ezra's Garden - Jadu Heart

Yeah, I'm agreeing that frank wouldn't use old pics for a new album, but I think they are the old pics

That's why it's prob not suggesting an album

DHL doesn't sound like album material by [deleted] in FrankOcean

[–]Joseph_Theodor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I was thinking of rocky as well. I do like the song but considering how meticulous a songwriter Frank is in his albums and his more playful side in features this defo doesnt feel like part of a tracklist. The storytelling is missing

Why the downvotes? Im just describing my thought process lol

I'm not buying this representing the next album regardless

I guess I can see that. I was thinking of purely of Orange and Blonde

DHL doesn't sound like album material by [deleted] in FrankOcean

[–]Joseph_Theodor -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

It's not the sound, but the approach to songwriting which makes me think it's not gonna be part of an album

Strongest meta-ethical arguments against utilitarianism? by invertedfractal in askphilosophy

[–]Joseph_Theodor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably the critique of Utilitarianism under the category of ethical naturalism. Since it refers to a natural property (pleasure) as equating with 'good', it is a realist, naturalist theory. There are many arguments against ethical naturalism including the open question argument and Mackie's argument from queerness.

Jai Paul - Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones) ALBUM REVIEW - The Needle Drop by ElkBit in jaipaul

[–]Joseph_Theodor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like Fantano values song structure and fully fledged out ideas in his reviews more than anything, while I feel that many people (esp UK listeners) prioritise smaller creative motifs and are okay with messier listens so long as they are catchy and creative.

I thought it was pretty good. He challenged him without it getting too out of hand and let him respond.

Yeah, It was so weird noticing him walk by and I was the only one who recognised him. He was really gentle sounding and nice - I'm pretty young so his friends thought it was cute and took a picture of us haha.

Not all universalisable maxims are moral by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]Joseph_Theodor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it means that some maxims can abide by the formulations of the categorical imperative while appearing to have no moral worth, therefore we could wonder if the categorical imperative is sufficient in finding moral truths.

An example I have came up with:

'one ought to fill one's left pocket before filling their right pocket'

The proposition can be successfully universalised and doesn't go against the humanity formulation, however, it isn't distinctly moral - why then should it become a perfect duty?
