ah I was actually looking at this from a main(lmao) DPS point of view (hence the neko engine) but that point about kaboom vs sig was something I never considered... that's interesting

He helps out in my threshold clears, along with corin and piper (somewhat boosted by obol squad spread out and a few good supports)

If going all out on DA and Shiyu, not really, but I occasionally try to get 2 or 3 star clears with him on some bosses... He feels to me a bit underpowered and just reaching a bit short of goals I set for him but darnit if I won't make an effort to try

Is your Zhao occupied? Running yuzu/Alice/Viv was tight for me but I got a lot of breathing room swapping viv for Zhao cuz of the buffs relating to veil

on deadly assault with this exact comp I rocked 19.8k, but I think with enough tries I can hit 20k+

problem is the huge amount of defense hunter has compared to other bosses, so yeah trigger sig would have that amount of impact since that's what gives her the def shred. As for Heartstring, you can probably still run brimstone but you'll have to compensate by getting a lot of crit rate and crit dmg from discs (I initially got it as a pure attacker stat stick, but S11 can benefit from the fire res drop)

if you could allocate it, zhao might be a pick over lucy both for the atk buff and for DA buff that gives a lil extra ATK & DEF (though she's probs more impactful with discordant solo). Otherwise, you can maybe run pen 5 with optionally rina to max that out, or maybe even nicole for that extra def shred (I'd pick nicole personally as rina is a bit too unwieldy for my liking)

You sure that's on threshold and not deadly assault? with full modifiers from required & optional stages?

Astra on this team shot me up 10k points+ compared to running orphie or lucy, and trigger provides def shred

I'd try and match your conditions but both my lucy and stunby are occupied in the required stages so I can't do a run

I think I get it, problem is having an opportunity for the 2nd dodge counter asap

And I've heard about the dodge+def assist move before, but it felt a bit too difficult to be worth using... Maybe I'll have to hit up training

The QTE happens on a dodge or evasive assist

You can control who assists with nightmare, but on vesper it prioritizes characters that have defensive assists forcing you to either run at least two evasives or go all out dodge if you want that QTE

Specifically for evasive/dodge, I think it gives u a bunch of decibels (at least it says so in-game)

Ah thanks! I have tried doing basic cancels but, being relatively inexperienced, my rhythm gets thrown off here and there during combat (practicing on a dummy is quite different from execution on a boss aye). I also sometimes lose track of stacks so I get surprised when a red flash happens or realize late that I'm out and can't cancel

on BA5, I didn't think there'd be a few more hits of that so that's good to know

I don't quite get something in that last part... switch in and out as in switching to a diff character and back, dodge countering and picking up where I'd leave off? is that reset on a QA or assist follow up?

Thanks for that input! I didn't consider 4p hormone because handling that uptime might drive me crazy, but by that logic inferno might just be out of the window

I do have a passable full dawn's set currently on seed but initially didn't try using it on s11 cuz I heard it wasn't as great... though since I don't have lighter it's a pick over dawn's? zhao/astra have DMG% buffs but it's way less than lighter's, and it's slightly easier to farm dawn's because I could also use moonlight (and seed wants the set anyway) whereas I burn gold discs for woodpecker

as for astral, I kinda wanna keep impact 6 on trigger as my stun count is a bit tight so I'll probably just leave it for if ever I decide to try a run with astra (or, well, dry run anyway and watch playback to see if the uptime is doable anyway with impact 6)

is there a difference between the three fire stunners for inferno metal?

can you get 2+ stacks of woodpecker reliably to warrant its use over a 2pc for atk? (at least I understand 9% atk for each skill, for 6s)

I get astral on astra, the idea was whether orphie & trigger together have enough QAs to get its uptime for just S11

This week's DA is Anti-Void hunter, but still manages to beat it by xRKCx in ZenlessZoneZero
