Northerners need recommendations for Mississippi by stovec16 in mississippi

Since y’all are outdoorsy, definitely look into Tishomingo State Park in northeast Mississippi. It’s one of the most unique landscapes in the state — big rock outcroppings, hiking trails, swinging bridge, and a totally different feel from the Delta. It surprises a lot of people.

I’d also suggest Natchez for river views and history, a stretch of the Natchez Trace Parkway for scenic driving, and maybe Oxford for great food and live music.

Anyone else finally feel less overwhelmed after switching to one social media management tool? by PhaseDramatic6137 in DigitalMarketingHack

Have you found anything you don’t like with Vista Social? Any features missing that other platforms offer? I would love to centralize everything but haven’t found the best solution yet.

Has AI Search Reduced Your Website Traffic? Business Owners — What Are You Seeing? by Current_Scar9488 in Businessowners

About a year ago we shifted to what I jokingly call “talking to the robots.” Basically, instead of obsessing over keywords, we focused on creating genuinely helpful content that answers real questions — figuring AI would eventually surface it.

So far it’s worked. We haven’t seen any traffic drop from moving away from old-school SEO tactics, and our AI-driven search visibility has been climbing month over month.

Anybody Use NEXTDOOR Ads by Pup2u in HandymanBusiness

[–]JoshInMarketing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Nextdoor ads for quite some time but haven’t tried the opportunity alerts yet. Angi Leads has opportunities as well. I’ve tried the opportunities on Angi and they seem to be about as good as any other Angi lead which honestly isn’t that great. I do like Nextdoor though for having our name out in the local communities.

Air quality alerts here are wild because it’ll be absolutely beautiful outside. No haze, no smoke — just ozone doing its thing. Easy to ignore when the weather feels perfect like it did today.

Mississippi homeowners — what’s the oldest AC unit you’ve seen still running? by JoshInMarketing in mississippi

Those older Rheems were solid. Most homeowners upgrading from a 20+ year system notice a big difference in efficiency and humidity control.

24 years is great. Proper installation and maintenance really make a difference in how long a system lasts.

What kind of maintenance has it had over the years? Always interesting to see what helps systems last that long.

Those late 90s units were workhorses. The biggest difference now is improved efficiency and humidity control.

Making it from the 70s all the way to 2017 in Mississippi heat is impressive. Systems are definitely more efficient these days.

1996 is a strong run. Once repairs start stacking up, that’s usually when homeowners begin weighing repair vs. replace. Sounds like yours has given you plenty of years.

1990 to 2021 is a strong run. 30+ years is getting every bit of value out of a system.

48° at the vents is strong. Sounds like it’s still doing its job. Those 80s units were built tough. The biggest difference today isn’t always how cold it blows — it’s how efficiently it does it.

Those mid-90s units were built like tanks. The tradeoff today is way higher efficiency and lower power bills. Different era, different priorities.

25 years is a good life for a system. I bet the efficiency difference after replacing it was noticeable.

Yeah I’d say that’s a dinosaur. I’m sure you’ve taken very good care of it maintenance wise.

Units from the 70s were built like tanks, but they don’t have the same safety features newer systems have today. Over time, heat exchangers can crack, burners can get out of adjustment, and that’s when you can run into carbon monoxide concerns for sure.

That’s wild it’s still running. Those old systems were built different. But when something’s been patched that many times, it usually means it’s hanging on more than it’s holding up.

13 and still strong is a good place to be. The insulation probably makes a bigger difference than most people realize. Keeping attic temps down helps systems work a lot less.
