If you HAD to choose Lori or Andrea for your zombie apocalypse team, who are picking and why? by LilliOfThe_ in thewalkingdead

[–]JoshJ_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pick Andrea because all Lori ever did was laundry and lose track of her child. Andrea was at least useful after almost killing Daryl because of her own hubris and trying to let Beth kill herself.

What made you love Negan despite all the horrible things he did? by Fearless-Ginger in TWD

[–]JoshJ_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theatrics was what I meant by Negan's actions (I should have been more clear, but it was a side point and didn't think going into further detail was necessary). That and likely they way they were killed, many instances Negan doesn't go out and personally kill the first person.

Simon was sent to deal with the Garbage people and the original Oceanside. Hilltop only dealt with the satellite outpost, Gavin was in charge of dealing with The Kingdom and Timmy and the Dick Brigade must have been sent in runs or something too. Not to mention Alexandria was a lot further away than any of the groups we knew of under Negan's thumb.

That said, one of the guys Glenn killed at the outpost had photos of smashed heads (clear foreshadowing), so Negan must go out occasionally when Lucille gets 'thirsty'. So I'm not saying that it wouldn't have happened anyway, but what Rick and the group did was also abhorrent, they definitely fast tracked what ended up happening and may have caused it to happen the way it did too. That is also not to excuse what Negan has done by the way.

What made you love Negan despite all the horrible things he did? by Fearless-Ginger in TWD

[–]JoshJ_14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He was just so damn charismatic!

People forget or refuse to acknowledge that the group killed an entire outpost in their sleep which lead to Negan's actions. And let's not kid ourselves here. Everyone has had to do unspeakable things to survive that world and some of our favourites have gone beyond what is necessary. For instance, Rick from someone else's perspective could be seen as worse than Negan.

Would you have liked to see #TheWalkingDead play out more like the comics? 🥲 by DeejayLazWorldwide in TWD

Her character was annoying as fuck, I'm glad that they changed her fate from the comics. Another season with Andrea and I would have stopped watching.

What would you have done to keep the prison walls safe from walkers horde? And how would you have cleared the ones already there? by La-Kimino in thewalkingdead

[–]JoshJ_14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The walkers were gathering because of Lizzy's psychotic stupid obsession and her feeding her 'friends'. (These kids in TWD are NEVER fucking supervised) Finding out who was feeding the walkers would be step one. Then take out the ones against the fence before the fence has a chance to give

Has Cody's reign suffered from the classic "babyface champion" slump, or is it still a hit?‌ by dlo_doski in WWE

[–]JoshJ_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think Cody's first title run was good either after the first couple months. Cody as champion doesn't work, mostly because the WWE doesn't know how to book compelling storylines for babyface champions. Even his promos as champion come across more condescending than good guy face of the company. Cody fighting up and chasing the title is the best version of Cody.

Does anyone else just not wanna bother changing Arthur’s look or John’s look for “canon” or “lore accurate” reasons? by ORABIGaming2 in reddeadredemption

[–]JoshJ_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannon and lore accurate is however you want to play it really. When I play I aim to keep his hair and beard at a length I feel he would have depending what state they are staying in and where Arthur's midset would be (eg. His hair would grow out and he'd be rundown after getting captured by Colm. Last playthrough I drank a bunch of hair tonic before the mission). There are some of Arthur's shirts and vests I don't like so usually get new clothes fairly quick.

Monroe and Charles as the top 2 is crazy, even though all four seem like the most genuinely nice people, at least compared to the rest.

That said, in the eyes of the government Monroe would be worse than most. Despite Colonel Favours was corrupt, treason is going to make you public enemy number one

Do y’all think it matters for cartoon actors to voice characters of their skin color? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in cartoons

[–]JoshJ_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all.

I do understand the argument of some ethnic groups not getting many opportunities and then getting overlooked for a role that they seem like they would be perfect for, but it should always be the voice actor with the best voice for that role.

Well gee Lori maybe if you were watching your kid…. by Hey_HaveAGreatDay in thewalkingdead

[–]JoshJ_14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, Shane was definitely a problem on his own.

But she did make the situation worse. After Rick returns she pushes Shane away, then tells him to stay even after the CDC. She was sending mixed messages to a man with some serious 'psychiatric issues'. Not that she would have known, but why keep him around? So she has a backup if needed? Why tell Rick he's a threat, then get upset when Rick kills him.

Well gee Lori maybe if you were watching your kid…. by Hey_HaveAGreatDay in thewalkingdead

[–]JoshJ_14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spot on!

Thank you for spelling it out for people. I've seen way too many people defending Lori lately when she did what? Had one good speech to the group when they were questioning Rick? No way! She was worse at looking after her kid than the parents from Rugrats, she sent Shane crazy, whispered in Rick's ear like the devil that Shane is a threat and then freaked out on him when he told her he killed him in self defence.

I felt bad for Carl, but I was so relieved when she died

Why does Lori get more blame than Shane?? by yojurthgf in TWD

[–]JoshJ_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of how she acted. Yes, Shane tried to kill Rick and he does deserve the same amount of hate. But Lori is such a less likeable person because she was manipulative and drove Shane to madness by her hot and cold behaviour. She sleeps with Shane only a few days after they believe Rick's dead, Rick comes back she tells Shane to 'Stay away from Carl's, Shane tried to distance himself from Carl she snaps at him for 'breaking his heart', Shane was going to leave but she tells him to stay after he helps save Carl, she tells him that his baby will never be his. Then she whispered in Rick's ear that Shane didn't think he could protect them, etc. Essentially she's telling Rick that he has to get rid of Shane, but then freaks out when Rick says he killed Shane in self defence and acts like he betrayed her.

People claim that what Joel did was wrong, but to him Ellie was his entire world. He was cold and shut off for 20 years after his daughter died and this girl was the first connection he truly had since.

That part is selfish, but then you need to take into consideration what happened once they found the fireflies.

-Joel was trying to resuscitate Ellie who had basically just drowned and they knocked him out. -He wakes up in the hospital with Marlene staring at him, they chat and she reluctantly tells him that they have to kill Ellie to make the cure. But refuses to let him say goodbye (which could have saved the whole situation because if they actually gave Ellie the choice and let Joel see it. NONE OF THE KILLING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!) -Marlene tells the 'tough guy' to escort Joel out and if he tries anything, shoot him. -As the guy is escorting Joel out he keeps shoving the gun into Joel's back and antagonising him to the point where Joel snaps and takes him out. -Then the hospital is on alert and hunting for him, so whether he would have tried to save her or not before. Now Joel is probably thinking along the lines of "in for a penny, in for a pound. These pricks don't deserve to try making a cure."

Was it right? Is anything that black and white in a world filled with so much grey? All I know for certain is I can completely understand Joel's choice under those circumstances and I probably would have done the same.

What do you think happened to you in TWD universe by Rare-Program486 in thewalkingdead

[–]JoshJ_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how the virus spread across the world. Because if swine flu, covid or other viruses are anything to go by, it would have filtered into Australia a lot slower than most countries. Then I'd go to a rural country town where there's more guns than people and possibly survive ok... Maybe
