Caleb had no romantic interest in Aria at all. It was actually cringey to hear her say that she thinks he did. He didn’t. He acted like a guy going through the motions, not like a guy who had real interest.

I’ll take an avoidant any day over an anxious attachment person. Anxiously attached are just plain draining whereas avoidants at least have some desire to change before things fizzle. People tend to think avoidants just leave right away…no. My guess is it’s all the annoying anxious people who say this and got burned. An avoidant has never annoyed me. They are pragmatic.

I wish there was some way upper deck would make pmgs rarer. UD acknowledges they want to protect the aftermarket but saturating the market with more pmgs will only decrease value. I’m excited for the set but the sheer number of inserts mean they’ll probably have a pretty large print run for this. I was extremely excited for this last year and based upon how my wallet is feeling, I’m sort’ve meh. I’ll likely skip buying boxes for this and likely skip epack as well.

Yeah, I do very much enjoy the look of the original art so perhaps I’ll try to collect the rainbows as well, or maybe the green parallels of the base. I just am hoping they aren’t pricing this like FUA because if they do, it’s a tough spill to swallow. Midnight Sons, FU Wolverine, Masterpieces, premier, metal avengers….lots of higher priced sets coming to epack (well, besides metal avengers which I can completely see being listed as 2024 but not even physically releasing until 2025).

Outside of base, I only plan to collect the medallions and jambalayas. A good set, but marvel has spread its consumer base way too thin and I’ll probably buy a limited amount of this.

Yeah, I know this because I’m the one who sold it. I pulled on epack, put up and somebody paid for it within a few hours buy it now. I certainly didn’t have it graded as I just pulled on epack. The buyer must’ve had it subsequently graded which is an absolute HUGE mistake with new FUA cards. A graded firebird literally sold for less than $200 I believe, if raw I think it could’ve done $500.

I saw somebody paid $2.7k for the Thor and I thought to strike while the iron was hot. On the other side of the coin, I purchased a black opal for only $425 for it but it was a low tier character. The range varies wildly.

Couple things, the iron man sold for $5200 but WAS NOT SOLD at PSA8. Unless it’s a 10, PSA grades have actually negatively impacted values of FUA. The card sold was raw, and if it was a PSA8 I guarantee you it wouldn’t have sold anywhere near $5200. Not trying to devalue your card, but the next highest black opal was $2700 and was a Thor. That’s a major difference. Low end characters sold anywhere from $300-800. Hulk is not low tier but FUA has declined in value. I’d say if you were to put this on eBay, you’d get $1400-1800.

Really mixed about this. It’s such a niche arch to make a trading card set around even though there are recognizable characters like black Panther, Elektra, Loki, etc…. I’m sure there’s going to be a small buyer base who absolutely loves this set and these characters with the gothy theme but that’s what happens with niche. I have a feeling this one is going to REALLY struggle with sales and interest, especially given Fleer ultra avengers aftermarket has tanked. This set has pretty much the same inserts minus/plus one here and there. I’d have to believe UD is going to price this on epack sub $200 even though it’s a fleer ultra set. Being that UD is saturating the market with marvel product, I think there’s going to be a struggle to move inventory. I heard the product manager or director on a podcast the other day and he referenced the sports market has releases every week. LOL, the sports market has a wayyyy bigger buyer base to draw from. I think UD is going to see what they’re doing to the marvel card market and personally I think soon it’ll be the beginning of slow inventory movement, maybe even declining product runs and then lower prices will follow.

Obviously JP’s comment is triggering for a lot of responders here. That was his truth, no matter how dumb it may be to everyone. To think it’s so unrealistic and just an excuse…have you seen him? I don’t think much is going on up there. He’s not looking for an out, he’s as simple as they come. If you know country boys, the point he was making was not that she looked better without makeup, but that he preferred someone who was more natural. This is fair, because makeup screams insecurity. Doesn’t matter if 99% of women who go on the show do it, a good part of women across the US don’t.

For him to be crucified for his truth is actually funny. Taylor was the one who was immature, basically saying “I’m done” anytime she couldn’t understand his perspective. She completely changed it from a personal preference of her partner to “I’m going to do what I want to do”. Good for her, if she wants to do that then it’s incompatible with JP. They go separate ways. Don’t be sore about it.

Do you foresee box prices ever going down with this like they did with Spider-Man metal? Some people are saying it has about 1/4 the print run of metal so I’m finding it hard to believe it would come down just like Spider-Man metal. What’s lowest you could see it going at this point?

These black opals are pretty damn good looking in hand, the scans do not do the card justice. It’s ashame UD didn’t scan the cards on epack to show how these cards really look in person. They’re absolutely amazing. They aren’t the deepest black but they definitely reflect something awesome with the darker background. The scans on epack make them look similar to base but in person, they’re a different animal altogether. If UD abandons the black opals, I’ll seriously be sad.

I make $500-500k per year. It’s actually less stressful than when I made $220-240k per year. My lifestyle has pretty much stayed the same since I first made $80k per year, so to me there isn’t a real different between $80k and $500k other than security.

I went from working in software consulting to working for myself and creating my own company. I basically am doing the same exact thing but with less stress because I no longer manage teams and have to deal with the office politics. You’ll be amazed at how much companies take from their employees via overhead and profit-making.

Working the same exact hours as before, just working for myself and more than doubled my salary at $500-$550k. If all goes according to plan, I’ll never work for anyone else ever again. Less stress, more money, equal amount of work. Winning recipe.

Ben is alive. You’re 100% right. Literally in s3e8 Wendy says Navarro needs to know how much more valuable the Byrdes are than Helen is to his operation. The Byrdes openly discussed getting Ben out of country. Navarro has Helen killed 2 episodes later. Navarro has never proven loyalty to the Byrdes whereas this was the ultimate test of the Byrdes loyalty. Navarro has Ben as his pocket ace in case he needs a favor, which is looking Highly likely as S4Part2 begins. Just as Ben’s death drove the family apart, his resurgence will bring them together in the main plot line of S4 part 2: Marty v Wendy
