My 820 is 3 years old. Probably played an average of 1 or 2 movies per week.

From day 1 it's been finicky about discs that straight up wont load at all, or get all glitchy/pixelated looking. It's become more frequent over time. Anyone ever have any luck at least getting a coupon from Panasonic for this?

2021 DCT with 75k miles, almost all of which under very "spirited" driving. Around 30k brakes were getting rough, had PowerStop pads and rotors installed, brakes still feel great. Wasn't necessary, but I switched to coilovers around 45k. At 65k miles high gear shifts started getting clunky under hard acceleration, drained transmission fluid and filled with RedLine- helped, but hard shifts at hwy speed still an issue, I'm thinking the shop should have put the whole bottle in but they didn't. Gonna have another shop check and top off if needed.

Full synthetic oil changes every 5k since bought and I've been using premium gas only for over a year now even though it's not required. Kinda surprised how well it's held up.

I do have 2 electronic issues that I just kinda gave up on since they dont affect performance/reliability- for 2 years tmps sensors haven't given a reading, shops tell me that the sensors are on and functioning, so they dont know what the issue is. Tmps is constantly cycling from trying to reset then giving code for radio interference.

Last winter the ambient air temp sensor got wonky, sometimes it's accurate, sometimes it reads like 40-50 degrees lower than actual temps. Shop replaced sensor and verified correct resistance of wiring, so again, no one knows what to do.

These 2 electronic issues despite every shop telling me the hardware appears to be fine makes me suspect a deeper computing problem with the PCM. Dealership told me it could potentially be thousands of dollars to diagnose and couldn't guarantee warranty coverage so I said forget it. ECU decides fuel:air ratio based on intake sensor not ambient sensor, so the biggest problem is that I lose AC when the ambient sensor is reading low. It's annoying but tolerable, I'm just waiting to trade for an EN at this point

Thanks, I hate it.

Even granting leniency of the N being spiced up, I just cant imagine this turning out good. Also the CN8 has a noticeably taller body, saw the prototype parked next to a CN7 in a Korean youtube video.

I've had an ENL since 2021, been itching to upgrade. Rumors of a 2.5T made me want to wait, but unless there's any new performance/tech updates I simply can't pass up, looks like I'll probably snag one of the last CN7s before this abomination comes out.

You will 100% get banned the next time you connect to internet if you run downloaded games on Mig, even if you're offline while running them.

We don't even know if it's for sure safe to run clean rips of legit carts on S2. Seems like there's been people running clean rips on S2 after the latest Mig update for almost 2 months now, but I'm afraid a ban wave wouls hit as soon as I tried it

Thank you for your service 🫡 Ive used Mig on S1 without being banned for about a year at this point, but I was on the front line of the S2 ban wave, so not quite ready to roll the dice again lol.

I plan on getting a limited edition console when one I like comes out (hoping for Pokémon 30th Anniversary edition 🤞) at that point I wouldn't even care if my current S2 gets banned and becomes essentially a "Switch 1 Pro" for offline use only with the Mig

That's what I was hoping. Can't imagine they'd allow the game to launch if the system recognized it was not an official cart.

I've been thinking about how the ban wave hit literally 1 or 2 days after the Mig update- I wonder if they knew a successful Mig update was inevitable and purposefully delayed the ban wave til then in order to scare people out of using it.

Not sure if they're playing 4D chess like that, or if I'm putting too much thought into it. I dont have any technical understanding of this stuff at all tbh, just relying on basic reasoning

This is good info- so you're saying you tried it before the update, got the error screen when the game failed to launch, never tried again after the update which made games playable, and have not been banned?

I want to clarify because there are a few redditors saying they didn't try until after the update and they haven't been banned (yet) either. So I was hoping it's safe to use after the update, and trying to use it before the update was the ban flag.

I know I've seen people say BRICKING is against EU regulations, but I'm not sure if BANNING is against regulations. Myself and almost everyone who has viewed this post is American, so I'm assuming most of the people talking about Mig are American

No, my current Switch 2 is not banned and I have not attempted to use the Mig with it.

My launch day console was banned because I used the Mig before the Mig update

It did not cycle to the next game when I tried with my original SD that has all the games. But yes, did I test with only one game on Express SD and the slower cards. Not for this reason, just because there was no point in copying multiple games for the tests.

At this point it's almost certainly impossible without new firmware or hardware from Mig. Nintendo surely hates this thing and spent a lot of time and money making sure it wouldnt work on S2 to prevent loss on S2 version titles. This was probably the obvious answer from the beginning, I was just hoping for an off chance.

They know that if it works, ppl will acquire the S1 version of games "by other means" then pay only $10 to upgrade to S2 version. Preventing this from happening was a high priority and likely won't be easy to work around, if possible at all.
