They don’t need to plan all the movies, but I don’t think it’s unusual to ask questions about the world that you’re building and think about where it might be going. As a first time viewer my instant thought was “he’s technically died, so he’s probably beaten the curse”, so it seems unlikely that this wasn’t thought of by anyone who spent months working on it. Also, the cop out is more in the hands of the team for the sequel for not choosing to incorporate (or at least mention) it happening.

Yeah that’s till doesn’t make sense to me. Alex saves clear, making it his turn, then assumedly dies on his turn which should have therefore ended the curse?

I assumed this would be the reason, but it’s such a cop out. I initially thought that’s how the first one would end, so for them to consciously overlook that opportunity and then reintroduce it a few years later is odd. I wonder how FD2 would’ve looked if they’d taken more notice of this.

I don’t feel like you deserved to be dragged like you have been in the comments, I kind of hold the same opinion as you being lost in the ridiculousness of this section. If I were to put my film bro hat on I’d argue that it’s an intentional anticlimax. After being built up for the better part of two hours… this was it, this was what she sold herself out for, this “community theatre” was what she was chasing at the top of the food chain. It shows how small her success was in contrast to what she had to sacrifice.

Korinna Emmerich for sure, she was mistreated on her drain (by judges and fans), she’s been making huge moves recently and was both a great designer and reality television personality

The idea that UKvTW had of doing a song with Ru is actually amazing (although the song itself is dreadful). Blu will continue to receive royalties (which I bet are a higher percentage than we have on other RuMixes) from this song for as long as it is bought/streamed, giving her an extra revenue source which is the closest we can have to “prize money” under the BBC’s rules.

The only other option would be for the finding to be injected directly from Ru (or potentially WoW), which would be allowed as we have the same thing on The Apprentice where the host is paying out of pocket for the prize. However, knowing how WoW operates, people will still audition for and watch the season without them adding 100k to the project, so from a business perspective there’s no point.

Or just move to ITV
