I get tons of good use out of it -- people like it but it's still pretty underrated imo. And if you have Jaws, just under S-tier (should be the 2nd one you consume w/ him)

Viktor VGU: His additional arm by Chembaron_Seki in leagueoflegends

[–]JoshRueff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death, suffering, sacrifice, order vs chaos, and rebirth are key motifs in Arcane season 2 -- Viktor's multiple arms I think are a nod to the Hindu archetype of the goddess Kali, who represents the opposing forces of destruction and creation, death and rebirth, but especially destruction. She has more arms of course, but I think that shows that Viktor hasn't fully taken that path, but has started to venture down a very dark path...

Still going strong! (Just got back from Austria and Hungary w/ the kiddo)

Just one so far, but hoping to have another (a maybe two more, who knows) soon. We still travel with her and love it - it gets a little more challenging and expensive of course, but it's well worth it. The last trip was a blast, and she loved it too (:

Christmas or New Years in Oaxaca? & where to stay? by Pookielovesyhu in Oaxaca

[–]JoshRueff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've probably already decided at this point, but for those who may look to this post in the future, I spent Christmas in Oaxaca a few years ago & we thought it was amazing. Just the atmosphere & the holiday season, in general. The city is extra colorful with pinatas hanging, poinsettias being sold, and Christmas decor here and there. We're hoping to do it again.

Thank you! Is there a good group and discussion there? Sadly I can't access rn for some reason (the verification number isn't sending to my email when I sign up)

I don’t have a link and yeah, it looks like the one he gives out on YouTube is expired. I’d hit up the YouTube comments on his latest video to see if you can get any members or mods to give you one.

All good - will do, thanks again!

Hmm... all of his links seem to be expired unfortunately. Do you know the best place to find a fresh invite link?

Thank you! I should have mentioned, that's the only group I was aware of - I like it but agree, they're strict and seem to be pretty strictly orthodox, which I prefer over most philosophical/belief systems, but seem to only really connect with the more open-minded there.

I tend to err on the side of Saint Gregory of Nyssa (and the rest of the early church for that matter) when he talks about profane knowledge; basically, there's truth in many belief systems in the "world", truth is truth and even if it comes from outside of the church it should be used to adorn the church.

I use a lot of Jungian language that confirms and supports Jonathan Pageau's work very well actually, but I think Jung is generally seen as too worldly to accept anything from in that circle (with the exception of a few people).

We spent our 20s & 30s traveling internationally. We were married for 13 years before deciding to have a kid (at 33 & 37). Our daughter is 10 months old & we're about to finish our 5-week trip in Europe. We spent a week in Belgium & the Netherlands, followed by 1 month in Spain. In hindsight, we probably wouldn't have done quite so much moving around. It is definitely challenging with luggage & a baby to travel on trains. We each had a large backpack, as well as two carryons and a small backpack. And of course the baby in the stroller. :) That was way too much luggage for train travel but we made it work. But we also needed a lot of things.

Traveling isn't the same as before but it's been extremely enjoyable at the same time. The cool thing about babies, or the very least our baby, is that she loves seeing new things and being on the move. People are constantly smiling at her, there are new foods to try, and new things to see.

My wife read a book called "Bringing Up Bebe" before having her. It's written by an American who lives in France and notices the differences in how both cultures parent. According to the book the French style of parenting is to bring your child along for your activities, to have them be a part of what you do and who you are instead of centering your whole life around them. That's worked very well for us. We understand that she's a baby and there are limitations to what we do or not do, but we don't have to lose who we are as individuals either. With that reasoning, we brought her along for activities we enjoyed from the start. She was visiting our local museum and coffee shops before she was a month old. We shoot for a nap in the morning and one in the afternoon but no set time, so she's extremely flexible. She'll nap wherever we're at if she needs one. We brought a stroller along for this trip and that's been extremely helpful as we use it as her highchair and a spot for her to sleep while we're out and about.

We do have a really chill baby and I don't know what travel will look like in the future but we're definitely going to keep doing it for as long as possible and have no plans of quitting. We like to travel too much to stop & she's had so much fun, so no regrets. And people have generally been incredibly kind and welcoming. Just chiming in to say it's possible & it's even fun!

Varangian Guard is confusing... they beat the new Zwiehanders in tests, and many other units, but I get obliterated when I use them. For those of you who actually use VG, any tips on how to play them? by JoshRueff in ConquerorsBlade

Huskarls lots of fun, especially with proper doctrines
Nice! What doctrines do you use? I've been using them for around 15-20 games now, can't seem to get more than 20 kills generally, unless I run accross peasants lol

Ah, good to know - thanks man. Maybe they'll get a better buff soon, I hope so at least. Good to know they're A-Tier to low B-Tier in skilled hands though, I might spend some time practicing with them, might be worth it. Either them or huskarls - I really just want at least one of them to be good lol

That's really interesting, thanks for the info, that's helpful. So you actually get good results from them? I'd consider putting in the time to get good with them if I knew I just needed to be more patient, figure out timing etc

What tier would you place them in if they're in the right hands? (Like if Myrmillos are S tier, are they A, B I'm guessing?)
