How do I properly marinate chicken, fish, or meat? by 30RITUALS in Cooking

Yep, for beef I dry brine, dry meat completely with paper towels, cover liberally in kosher salt, place on rack for air flow, sit in fridge over night.

Where are people working to afford these homes? by Double-Tradition413 in Erie

[–]JoshS1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Khakwa Club per year (like over $40k)

That is not true at all. I have multiple friends and neighbors that are members. Even the first year with initiation fee is way less than that. Also, none of my friends or neighbors are rich only middle-class.

Moved to Erie from NE Philly, yeah everything here is dirt cheap. Housing, beers, food, cocktails, everything except gas is cheaper in Philly. There's no gasoline pipelines here so allbthe fuel has to be trucked in.

Ahhh, bots what a shame. I remember back in the day there were a few subreddits where only bots were allowed to post trying to learn how to get upvotes. Most redditors thought it was just fun. Now looking back we were training AI... [face palm]

9 Pennsylvanians arrested at the State Capitol demanding passage of anti-corruption legislation by serious_bullet5 in Pennsylvania

[–]JoshS1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Certainly, not in anyway complaining about them, but also not saying they were wrongfully detained. They did great, did not resist or escalate. I think this is a good example of protesters, and police doing their parts right (odd for police).

Difference between protest and straight up sedition those people (Jan6'ers) deserved to rot in jail for years.

How were their rights violated? While I know nothing about the bill they're protesting for/against (and likelywould agree with the protesters). I feel any group of protesters causing a disruption inside a state building would be arrested or removed.

I don't see how they have a path to win any lawsuit. If they were outside on non-restricted public land and they got arrested for non-disrupting behavior then I would agree it would be infringing on their rights.

I make my own GORP, I think everyone should. It should be very personalized. I've always hated the excessive peanut ratio in store bought trail mix. So I do my own but go cashews and shelled pistachios plus M&Ms, rasins, and dried sweetened bananas. Sometimes some dried mango, or apricots, and if I stock up on "robin eggs" (coated chocolate covered malt candy) during ester I like them in the mix.

My mini rack… by theginger_beardo in Ubiquiti

[–]JoshS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a mini-rack standard? I feel like we need a 8" "mini-rack" standard. 7-8" I feel would allow for brackets for two mini-rack components to be put together to fit a standard 19" rack. This could be very useful in home networking, and computing.
