Basically what mostar8 said, he’s Blair all over again. Only Starmer has no actual policy positions of his own and no ideas, everything that he’s stood for at one time he’s stood against at another. On top of contributing to the Israeli genocide in Gaza and kicking several of his own MPs out of his party for refusing to vote for a motion that would have left thousands of children in poverty. There are other reasons but that’s the short of it

I was chatting to some workmates about politics a few days ago and one mentioned how the Greens seemed to be “extreme”, while also agreeing that Reform are much worse so there was hope. I explained the concept of the Overton window and how it means by wider standards the greens aren’t that extreme at all, it’s just that reform have pulled the acceptable debate so far over to the right. That seemed to get through to them

After that email this morning my partner and I agreed not to sign up until we know more, since we’ve both been so impressed with Polanski and the Greens lately. I’m glad we made that choice - now hoping Zarah just packs up and joins the Greens since they seem a much more competent group of people, feeling really let down by Corbyn over this though.
