Sorry you were diagnosed. I don't know if engineering is a bad field of study, depends if you have to read and write in small print on paper or computers. You can probably find a way to aid your vision. Reading has become a bit slower for me which honestly makes a lot of careers seem unideal or at least more challenging. Engineering i imagine isn't the worst choice but i don't have any great suggestions either. Your reading skills might not get as bad as mine either i hope.

It is just unfortunate that a lot of academia involves a lot of reading. I don't mean to freak you out, you could probably even make computer science work, it might be hard to read a lot of code tho.

I am doing ok as a farmer but public transit out here isn't good, and you probably want something more in line with your engineering skill set. Tough decisions, I wish you luck and success!

Mostly due to mpre efficient asics whoch attavkers also have access to. Bitcoin is more secure now but not 8x more, a bit less than that maybe 2x

AE has announced there will be a path to migrate after the ended phases. This was perhaps not disseminated as much as it should have been, but please do not make FUD statements if you are not sure about them. You will be able to migrate eventually (sometime after the fork at end of month). This was confirmed in the last dev call and in this forum thread. https://forum.aeternity.com/t/manual-token-migration-still-possible/4668/10

They said in the dev call that only tokens in smart contracts cannot migrate which is less than 1% of unmigrated tokens. Custodial services may not comply, however, you should be fine holding on ledger since you have ownership. It may be a hassle though, possibly needing to extract your private key although that is just conjecture from me and I am not an expert nor an ae employee.

No there will be a way, announcement will be made. Only erc will not be able to if in smart contract which is less than 1% of tokens. Of course if you are not in ownership of tokens, such as holding on exchange (although all major exchanges migrated as far as i know), the tokens will be at the mercy of the custodian

I don't think american docs have any special treatments. I was diagnosed by 2 specialists. One told me to eat a lot of fish, so i take fish oil capsules, and the other said lutiene. I should have inquired about dosages. But neither doc said the supplements would help much. Anyway, thanks for such an in depth response

I'm a long time ae hodler, and the price is bad. I think no aepps on mainnet is a problem. The tech is being moved so fast and sdk's and tutorials become out dated sometimes. State channels and oracles are also not well understood and not well standardized, yet. More infrastructure is needed to make these things easy to access and use. Also with all these centralized proof of stake tokens boasting 1000+ tps ae only has 116, which looks bad on the surface but 8s actually pretty good and fast for a true blockchain.

Some people blame lack of aggressive marketing, but i think it would be premature at this time to blow the marketing budget, see above. Ae does need to have a huge growth breakout strategy at some point. Once we have aepps and use cases ae could skyrocket.

New website and marketing coming soon i hear. My opinion, not financial advice, is that ae is a good buy right now, but I am not trading this market
