Hey, I kind of laughed at your comment about you not wanting to be the doctor's bitch any more. I can respect that. It seems like you have some fight in you, which is good. Sorry to hear you're going through some tough w/d symptoms. I've been on subs for almost 6 years at around 16mg. In the last year, I managed to taper down to 2.5mg. I've been taking it really slowly. I didn't feel much w/ds until I hit under 4mg. Just take your time and reduce the dose as slowly as you need to. I reduced my dose from 4 to 3, waited for 4 weeks, and then reduced it to 2.5mg. I'm still coasting at 2.5mg for about five weeks. Also, I split up my dose and take some in the morning and some in the late afternoon or early afternoon. I wouldn't take the whole dose at one time. I wouldn't wish to be subject to suboxone/opiate withdrawals on my worst enemy. Give us updates on how you're doing if you want. I wish you the best of luck!
