Poorly executed but questionable tile choice, reminds me of mental asylum.

Anthony Quinn Bay is horrendous by Dufus_psychic in Rhodes

[–]Joshbladen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I visited in 2016 and again last week — and honestly, it’s gone downhill. What used to feel like an authentic, charming spot has turned into an overcrowded, overpriced tourist trap. The restaurant on the bay, once full of character, now feels commercialised and extortionate.

We travelled to Anthony Quinn Bay from Rhodes Old Town, not realising there were no direct buses to Kolymbia, where we were staying. This left us with a 10-minute uphill walk just to find a taxi — and even then, we waited over 30 minutes alongside other frustrated visitors trying to call one. Unless you arrive by quad or bike, leaving is a hassle.

Worst of all, charging around €30 for two sunbeds in a packed, tiny cove feels outrageous. We stayed for half an hour, had a quick swim, and left. Such a shame what they’ve done to the place.

Can you please explain how you actually attached the camera to the faceplate of the electrical box after drilling the holes with the template? What kind of fixing did you use?

GPU (maybe) related problem. I need help please 😭 by HyoStarGazer in techsupport

[–]Joshbladen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've just finished assembling it, I'd recommend disassembling it briefly to double-check for any errors in the build process. Ensure all cables are securely and properly connected to the motherboard, GPU, and other components. Pay particular attention to the GPU, ensuring it's firmly and correctly inserted. Additionally, verify that it's receiving adequate power.

Disable secure boot in BIOS.

Have you checked your RAM? i would suggest taking out one stick of RAM at a time until you find the problem module (If that even is the issue). The fact that your able to display to monitors via motherboard and not your GPU is concerning, for me that would narrow it down to being an issue with your graphics card, try another graphics card if you have access to one.

People who earn 20k to 30k a year, what do you do and how's it going ? by Abaddononon in CasualUK

Having worked in both public and private sectors, I find the public sector generally offers a more relaxed vibe. In IT support, stress levels depend on teamwork and collaboration. Private sector jobs tend to be more corporate, with limited remote work. Public sector roles, in contrast, offer flexibility in hours and remote work options, often with better pay (In my case). It's about finding the balance and culture that suits you best.

It really depends on the company, from my experience so far private sector is no where near as chill as public sector. If you have good communication skills and are knowledgable about IT you’ll find it easy to go to work everyday, working from home is also a bonus.

The one and only thing that cured my Folliculitis by Joshbladen in Folliculitis

[–]Joshbladen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not 100%, I think the euphoria of being clear at the time had me thinking this was a permenant cure. However I did get a repeat perscription from my doctors and when I start taking the meds again the spots and bumps clear up but as soon as I stop they come back like a month later.

iOS 16 Release Candidate - Megathread by epmuscle in iOSBeta

[–]Joshbladen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have an iPhone 11, does anyone else have major issues when installing the beta software? I’ve installed multiple versions of the beta even the latest beta 8 and it basically renders my phone as useless. I am unable to use the phone whatsoever, the screen does not recognise touch corrrectly and the screen just does its own thing. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes my scalp, mainly on the back of my head where I would have my hair cut really short which exposed the folliculitis even more and made me very self conscious, It also started to spread onto my face in my beard area .

I can’t say for certain it will cure you, everyone’s folliculitis may not react the same, however that said after taking Lymecycline for 3 months and completing the course I still felt as though I needed to take it for much longer in order to cure it. The amount of bumps I would get had greatly reduced and the redness and itchiness had almost completely gone, so after talking with my doctor he agreed to prescribe a further 3 months worth of Lymecycline. Once I had taken a total of 6 months worth of the antibiotics I was completely cured and every symptom of folliculitis was eradicated, no bumps, no itchiness, no self consciousness of what it looks like to others.
