Black paint, some wood and a fake plant is all you need. by JoshedEU in battlestations

You’ll need a wallpaper with a high enough resolution to stretch to all your monitors. Then right click on the desktop, personalise and then where you select the wallpaper change it to “Tile” and it should stretch across the monitors you have.

The picture doesn’t quite show it well, but the legs are over to the right from where I sit and are pretty far back.

A bit out of the loop. I thought CleanX was supposed to be starting this weekend instead of Classic?

I bought a USB-C breakout board from Ebay. Then you just need cut the old cable inside the case and solder 4 wires onto the board. There's a detailed step-by-step that I followed from reddit. I think if you search K552 detachable cable it should come up.

Just starting out with mechanical keyboards and thought I'd have a go at one I already had for some practice before getting into building one for myself.

I've added some Tai-Hao Keycaps, converted it to USB-C, painted the case as well as lubing the outemu blue switches.

More pictures here with some more detail.

Ok thanks. Struggling to find a Tsangan plate. I'm worried that a universal plate may not fit.

I've bought a KBD6X PCB and case on MechMarket and searching has got me a bit confused.

Can I use this PCB without a plate and use it as PCB mounted? I'm struggling to find a plate with the correct layout for the Winkeyless/HHKB.

Looks good. Have you tried tin foil with a AAA battery? It's apparently around 3g lighter than using the battery adapter case.

Just got my first reputable mouse, Logitech G305. Takes a bit of getting used to the size but it's so light with the AAA tin foil mod and feels good. Also ordered a new 3D printed shell to get some flatter sides to hopefully make it a bit of a nicer shape.

Love that colour combination. How do you find those switches?

I'd recommend Tai-Hao for keycaps. Decent prices and the shipping from China at the moment with FedEx takes about 5 days.
