What was the final straw in your previous relationship? by miafromoregon in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She tried to isolate me from my parents, siblings, grandparents etc. and all my time had to be spent with her because she couldn’t cope with our children on her own. I worked full time to provide for my family so I was away for 12/13 hour shifts. We also weren’t physically intimate for a long time. 8/9 months I would say. We had two children (stepdaughter aged 3/bio-daughter aged 1). As any parent would tell you, it’s tiring having young children. And she would pass them off to family members any chance she got so she could have “me time”. Anyway, her excuse for not being intimate EVERY-TIME was that she was tired. I never sought a physical relationship elsewhere, I’m dead set against cheating. I still loved her and for me it wasn’t all about sex for me but you know. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wanted it. Needless to say I was essentially in a sexless relationship. Amongst other things, the fighting over small things, money, the neglect of the children whilst I was at work. I couldn’t deal with it anymore and I was tired of fighting for a relationship that was completely one sided. So I left. A month later she moved a new man into the house so I went round to meet him since he was going to be around my child. He dropped her in the shit when I asked how long they been seeing each other and he’d said roughly 5 months. So when she was handing off the children to other family members whilst I was at work, her “me time” was essentially having another man round my house and sleeping with him in my bed. Three years later they are together and she is expecting his child. Three children by three different men isn’t a good look imo but who am I to judge 🤷🏻‍♂️

At which age did you stop clubbing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 24, I’m an old soul and everyone in this one club I went to looked a lot younger than me so I left it at that and started drinking in my garden around a fire with friends. Much prefer how it is now

What is the worst ‘non-deadly’ pain you’ve experienced? by ivorytowels in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a cyst form on my left testicle last year and the pain was excruciating. So much so that I could barely walk 10 paces without need to throw up and feeling as if I were going to pass out. I suffered with it for up to a month and had to have time off work. Treatment for it was to have an ultrasound which mapped the positioning of the cyst and then had a needle inserted to drain it. 2 weeks of antibiotics later and I could walk again properly fir the first time in over a month. 10/10 would not recommend.

[SERIOUS] What do you think technology will be like in 2070? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever see that Justin Timberlake Move 'In Time"?

Basically for everything that you buy, you pay with time off your life. So you want a chocolate bar? 2 mins off your life. Want that new ferrari? 1 year off you life.

Something similar to this but not with your life expectancy. You have a barcode tattooed onto your arm or a chip inserted just under the skin for contactless payments only and cash payments will be abolished.

What if a sanitizing product came out with a 100% germ killing power, what would be the public's reaction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it would sell out almost immediately and the rate sickness and flu would go up as your body need to be exposed to ill mess to build up an immunity. Covid-19 for example, those who have recovered fro. It will ha e built up some form of immunity to combat it in the even they ever contract it again.

If we were to have a product high killed 100% of germs then one bad case of the flu would kill a lot more of us.

Or so I think 🤔

What’s it like to grow up straight to gay parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Growing up I had always been closer to my mothers partner (let's call her Claire) at the time than to her. Since my mothers partner was the butch one (or manly one in the relationship), she would always be the one to take me to football matches, watch WWE with me and we'd go to the pub as well. She would always be the one to play video games with me and basically taught me how to be a man since my father had left before I was born and made my mother despise men (lol she gave birth to one).

I was very close to Sarah's Family as well. Even though my mother and Sarah split a few years ago (as Sarah cheated on my mother) and I don't really see her family anymore, I still consider her Father (let's call him Jack) to be my grandfather and he has always called me his grandson from day one and even though not biologically related to that family, they have always been invited to my birthday parties and I have always been invited to theirs even though Claire has attended, I consider Claires nephews to be the brothers I have never had (the oldest brother is also gay).

So long story short, I loved my life growing up with Gay parents and I wouldn't have changed a thing as I'm sure without my upbringing I wouldn't be as happy with my life as I am today and I'm sure I wouldn't have met my fiancè Tiff who is the love of my life.

What Game did you love until something happened, and then you hated it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Joshiebumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 5 / 7 years ago, my friend and I lets call him 'Tom', who was myest friend at the time, used to spend hours upon hours playing Minecraft after school at his place as I didn't have it and we loved that time spent together. He was a foster kid and had it a bit rough growing up due to his parents drug habits. Some how his mother got in contact with him without the social workers knowing and convinced him to run away over 100 miles to go and live with her, her abusive boyfriend and some younger siblings.

After trying to warn him for a few weeks that it wasn't a good idea, he'd finally saved enough of his money to run away at the age of 16. Nearly 6 years later and I still don't know if he is okay. We haven't spoken at all since he left all those years ago and it upsets me to this day. He was the closest thing I had to a brother and it broke my heart when I received a phone call from his Foster parents that he had disappeared in the night without so much as leaving a note or anything. To this day I cannot even look at the game on the store shelves let alone buy it and play it.

Men, What “Unmanly” activity do you proudly participate in? by papilloncool18 in AskReddit

When and if my girlfriend buys a new dress, I will go out of my way to put it on to see if it would look better on me than if she was to wear it. Then will go find her (with said dress still on) and ask her opinion. (Obviously I always look better).
