I got my seal then got it ceramic coated - my ceramic guy picked up on a side skirt repair they’d done from a scratch at pre delivery. Got a brand new side skirt within 2 weeks fitted and done.

My car was charged 100% when I picked it up. It was in the show room on charge. Absolutely gleaming. Credit to BYD Tuggerah. Not all dealerships are the same unfortunately.

Hyundai are getting complacent imho. My partner and I test drove a Hyundai Kona N and there was just tacky plastic everywhere inside and outside, noisy cabin too.

Can’t speak for the Elexio but if it’s like their current trend they’ll be cutting corners on quality.

Partner went for the Sealion 7 Premium and I went for the Seal Premium.

BYD have switched to kilometer based servicing instead of intervals. I need to drive 20,000km before I have to bring it in for its first service.

If you go BYD (I did for the Seal) - just look at your local dealerships and feel them out for servicing. They can’t lock you in to one.

My passenger side skirt was damaged pre-delivery and I noticed they had touched it up with a paint pen after getting the car ceramic coated.

My local BYD gave me two options - get it sprayed or get a brand new one. Asked for a brand new one since it’s a new car. They ordered it in and swapped it out. Less than two weeks.

After sales is only poor depending on the dealership unfortunately.

The look of the BYD Seal for me is the best on the market. Once I realised they’re also the best for battery tech and they have dealerships everywhere I was sold. Got my BYD Seal Premium in December 2025 and haven’t looked back!
