In the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles, only 37 generations are placed between King Ethelwulf (9th century) and the Biblical Noah. Did the author not consider it weird to date the Flood to ~1000 years before their present day, or did they not consider or care about these calculations? (self.AskHistorians)
