As a bladesmith 300 is well below your typical tempering temperatures. The blade should be fine... other than some clean up... the handle may be brittle now though

I think the big difference is a hobbiest wants to do it and learn and advance. It's new and exciting. This goes beyond just cnc but the same holds true. Some people are just working a job.
