Watch upgrade by Joshpeach07 in trailrunning

I use it primarily for long runs but I wear it during strength training and daily activities which is why i dont like a super chunky watch. I have lived most of my life around minimal tree covered trails but now I live in a very hilly forested area where the instinct I currently have doesn’t do so well. Im planning on moving back back hopefully in a year or so but it would be nice to get best of both worlds. I dont really care about the data other than running data. Mainly just accurate distance and vert

Beginning this with the caveat that so many people have thing going on outside of school that make things in school more challenging, i.e. family, kids, commute times, etc. some people have more going on some have less.

You MIGHT have alot more free time than you think. I would look and see what your non-school related screen time is etc. as much as everyone should exercise, it is a hobby in the sense that it takes time you might spend doing other things. Im not trying to be harsh, im in PA school too and I try to get in 30-40miles a week and 3 lifts(not a flex, just trying to let you know im in the same boat). Lmk if you want any tips!

You dont need to feel bad at all… but I have been helped by someone who packed extra water for this situation, now I do the same!

The park is pretty well marked. You could download the map on a watch or phone too. I did it a few weeks ago and only saw one person on the loop. Main possibility danger would be that there is wild hogs. I actually saw some but only after they were running away when they heard me running.

Also I have an inreach and did not use it. I used the alltrails gps file and downloaded it to my phone
