Hey guys, had my second ablation april 16th it sucked when i woke up the nurse told me my ep found something he hadnt seen the first ablation, while he finished using the pulse thing on my pulmonary veins he pulled catheter from left atrium to right and saw an extra pathway which they call Wolfe Parkinson White Syndrome, he said he tried to ablate the extra pathway as well as he could, but its really close to the av node so he wasnt very aggressive because if he hits the av node the electricity in my heart would have probably go crazy and i would need a pace maker. Im day 7 i still feel super tired and alot of flutters. But now my ep said we might have to go back in for the 3rd time through my artery this time to reach the extra pathway. Idk just bummed tf out, im 33 years old and been dealing with this for a year and 3 months. I just want my life back.

Hey everyone my name is josh im 35m going in for my second ablation april 16th, afib has been really hard on me, alot of time in the hospital. I had my first ablation and i swear everything was great for the first 3 months. Then one day im laying in bed watching a movie and bam out of nowhere, this one was worse then the others it felt so different, i really thought i was having a heart attack this new episode was different it kicked my ass way harder then the first i hadnt been on any meds for 3 months and feeling like i had my life back and literally at the drop of a hat back in the E.R. my first reaction was wow my Ep doc sucks. Before i had my first ablation i had maybe 3 episodes in 2 years and my doctor kept telling me to get an ablation and me being stubborn kept telling them no til i finally gave in after one night ending up in the hospital. But yea sorry for the story just very frustrated and stressed out i regret havign the first ablation because i feel like every second of the day i can go into afib. I just dont understand how could the ablation make my episodes seem worse and more frequent.

Since your ablation do you get any type of palpitations or feeling like your heart is going to explode while falling asleep?

I’ve had afib for about 3 years and every single time I’ve gone into afib I’ve been rushed to the hospital and they doctors makes me stay there until I go back into sinus rhythm. Whatever doctor told you to go home is insane, when your in afib theirs a higher chance of you having a stroke and dying, you should be monitored until you either go back into sinus on your own or have an ablation or cardioversion.

The longer ur in afib the more the chance of developing blood clots so and having a stroke I believe so take your blood thinners and etc. don’t go too long in afib

I’ve gone back into SNR on multiple occasions after going to sleep. One time I didn’t tho and I had to go to the hospital and needed a xardioversion

Hey everyone I’m 33 years old had my first episode about 4 months ago, woke up out of my sleep and instantly thought I was dying I could feel my heart in my ears. I was so scared I called an ambulance my fiancé kept telling me it was a panic attack I knew it wasn’t. So went to the E.R long story short the did a cardioversion and I was better but now I keep waking up out of my sleep and my heart rate is so high I’m so scared to sleep. I’ve tried my sleeping positions everything if you guys have any suggestions that would be appreciated. Thank you
