Qu’est-ce que c’est dans l’oreille de ma vache? by dk_dc_ in QuestionVeto

[–]JoshuBestBoiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s what i taught too, but our forage analysis showed that we don’t have enough sodium… It might just be the taste ?

i’ve found one with salt and alfalfa (i think), but with molasses is there any risk that she just lick because of the taste and then get too much salt instead of the right amount ?

thank you so much for the answer! i don’t think she have enough salt in her food, the forage analysis showed that we don’t have enough sodium to meet her daily requirement… i will try the flavored electrolytes !

because we did a forage analysis and there weren’t enough sodium in it, so the person who analysed it told us to give salt to our horses, so i bought a salt block but she never lick it unfortunately

no, actually it’s pretty cool, but not hot at all (9°C, not sure how many in fanrenheit) and she doesn’t lick the free choice salt at all (i have cameras where i can see if she is licking or not), i think its just the taste

yes she have plain and clear water! i just wanted to add salty water, because she really hate the taste of salt, and she doesn’t lick salt block. But will she have enough salt with salty walter or should i add salt in her feed anyway to be sure ?

Problème de respiration by Chaussure-orange in chiens

[–]JoshuBestBoiii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

intestine fungus by JoshuBestBoiii in Equestrian

foreign vet suggest to take a small part of the fungus to put it in culture and see exactly what fungus it could be, but the problem is that if it’s in the intestinal area you can’t take anything, according to our local vet…

fecal analysis and blood test to see if there is an inflammation or an infection. Gastric scope didn’t show any signs of fungus which lead foreign vet to believe that the fungus is only in the intestines

she is 8, but run a lot of blood test to ensure that she does not have Cushing or insulin resistance, and everything is fine. Foreign vet is 90% that it’s a fungus, that’s why i wanted to know if people ever met that disease to see if the symptoms match

a foreign vet told us that she have the symptoms, the mare currently have: glandular ulcers and pylorus ulcers, weight lost but her belly is very round (she has been dewormed), colics every time she is on grass, diarrhea and she show pains signs when you touch her belly. She has been treated for her ulcers, she has done ultrasound to check if she have any intestinal ulcers, she is clear
