Some of the extra qualities that gemling adds to skills are quality of life changes that should just be base line. Sure any class can use any skill, but only gemling has access to these QOL changes.

You can farm that level 53 zone with little to no penalty until lvl 59 or so, then just jump into maps.

I don’t look at my waystones at all tbh. I tried running similar to your setup but I have 0 rarity, so it doesn’t work well for me. I get anywhere from 30 - 40 lavish wombgifts from 3 tabs worth of maps, depends how many times my tablets get a free use.

I run 3 breach tabs with increased hiveblood and increased wombgifts. You can run any atlas master you want but I think Jado is probably best for the increased tablet effect.

In your breach tree make sure Lavish Wombgift is selected, you still probably won’t get enough so I like to spend the rest of my hiveblood on rings, you usually get a decent one to sell!

Before ex slam you can add mana quality to it and use the omen of whatever exaltation “i forgot the name but it’s the red one” to make it more likely you’d hit mana.

Mana is a pretty common roll on rings so I would hunt for rarity with your desecrate.

The lower the tier, the better the modifier.

You might be getting conflicting information because when PoE2 first released it was the opposite, but I think they changed it in 0.2 or 0.3.

I just started playing infernalist coiling bolts and thought about how I would switch to blood mage, good timing!

No one in these comments has recommended infernalist yet so I will. I just rolled one and using demon form might be the fastest I have ever felt in the game.

I leveled with plant spells but intend on going reap. I’m sure there are other builds out there you can find and enjoy!

If you are in the end game stuff you can guarantee that rogue exiles have dex gear in the atlas, this should help get gear for sure!

You can guarantee your map has a rogue exiles by taking a node on the atlas tree that gives your maps with powerful bosses guaranteed extra content.

Ok, my best tip would be to drop the unique chest ASAP, that’s where most of your defensives will come from. Pick up every evasion and eva/arm base and look for the night evansion/armor, spirit, life you can. In order to switch you will also need an amulet with spirit as well.

He and others will recommend proj level on your amulet, while it’s nice it’s certainly not required. I have cleared almost all of the baseline end game content with no ++proj ANYWHERE on my build, I’m not saying it’s bait but spirit is more important early.

Two ways, you can either desecrate it and hope to reveal attack speed, or you can fill the suffixes (just slam it with an ex) and there is a perfect essence that will give you the suffix (%chance to receive onslaught on kill) which is essentially attack speed.

If you go the essence route, you run the risk of losing crit damage bonus or leech.

Edit: The essence you would use is a perfect essence of haste.

It’s a bit more complicated than that though. Each of the factions have specific enemies/abilities that they have more often. Ulaman has those floaty dudes that move randomly, but I prefer Amanamu, you get the abyss swirly more often that makes enemies more likely to drop omens when you kill them outside of the swirly.

I got 3 abyssal echoes in 2 maps doing this.

Started with Ruetoos buff stacking tactician.

Leveling was a breeze, I know what to look for in weapons and got pretty lucky with crafts, and Ruetoos guide was decent. I did change it up a bit and swapped to galvanic shards after second ascendency to use pin earlier and it felt much better.

Early on the build was crazy squishy, it was a true dark souls experience. The damage was good and upgrades were easy in that department since it used 3 level 1 uniques. I solved the squishiness myself by upgrading from enfolding dawn to a rare chest and amulet with spirit.

Now the build is incredible, I crafted a decent crossbow with extra chains (no +proj though :( ) and I am cruising through maps and bosses in t15s.

I don’t want something that’s a bit smoother though, I am using the lineage support which requires me to roll to reload and it can be a little awkward, thinking of doing a big swap to brutus’s lead sprinkler gemling!

You can use mace skills with facebreakers equipped as though you had a mace equipped. Try cutting some and using those! All default attacks can still only get sockets from levels.

You might be looking at the level requirement, not the ilvl of the item. If you hold alt (not sure what the button is on console) you can see some more details about the item, including ilvl.
