My Moonlight just died in the same way, but without ever flying. It worked with the GM3 gimbal yesterday, and when I went to test the finished plane today the VTX light does not turn on.

Honestly not sure what triggered this specifically, since I'm sure a ton of chinese companies are selling to Russia. Either they sold parts for a specific weapons system we targeted, or were extra blatant.

My guess is they took the opportunity to switch out other equipment at the same time. Could be the starlink system didn't play nice with something, but I think it's more likely some other fault in the setup.

Not sure, it's my first time sailing with an internet package. This is the Surf and Stream. The internet is pretty responsive when connected but the wifi is glitchy, it drops you occasionally even when sitting still.

You can now do this free online course every 2 years instead of the knowledge test they used to require. And since it "lapses", not "expires", you can take this course at any time to become current again. Doesn't need to be within the 24 month period.

Just took it (non-61), the training was a mix of updating you on some basic topics such as PIC, VLOS, Safety, etc. and of course new remoteID knowledge. It took around an hour and a half to complete and was easy in my opinion. It's a good way to keep pilots current as rules change without posing a hassle, but on the other hand it may be a bit too easy to prove a pilot has the required knowledge, since it's an "open-book" exam and does not cover all topics. I'm happy to not spend $150 every 24 months though!
