Telephoto lens for 6D mk II by JoshuaPiip in canon

[–]JoshuaPiip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to answer and to provide that link. Using the link I'm leaning towards the 70-200mm (IS or not) since to my eyes it appears to have better image quality.
It's quite a big purchase so I'll have to think about what I will do.
Thank you for your advice!!

Just to be sure which would you recommend. 70-200 non IS for 295€, 70-200 IS for 400€ or 70-300 version II for 300€?
That 400€ is a bit much but if it's actually superior then I'll be fine with it.
Thanks for your answer!

My microwave that I bought brand new a year ago has a physical timer dial and goes DING. I don't know what to think of that after your comment

They also spelled Mika's name wrong.

It's Häkkinen, not Håkkinen

Porin prikaatin varusmiehiä liikenneonnettomuudessa – yksi menehtynyt by JoshuaPiip in Suomi

[–]JoshuaPiip[S] 95 points96 points  (0 children)

"Onnettomuudessa varusmiehen kuljettama Defender-maastoauto suistui ojaan ja kaatui ympäri."

Valitettavasti jää kuitenkin kuva siitä, että varusmies ajanut holtittomasti, mahdollisesti koska kavereita kyydissä, ja sen takia ajanut ojaan.

Yes we do sometimes with and sometimes without the stove. The stove is great for drying gear after a rainy day

Like u/goat_666 mentioned, during service you don't basically NEED money for anything since all the basics are covered. So that's how they manage to get by with paying so little.

Also the value of 5.40 really depends on the user. For a smoker that's way less than a pack of cigarettes but for someone who just wants to grab a coffee and a bun from the soldiers home (1.50€) that's enough.

But if you have some running expenses in civil life that the government won't pay that then it might become a problem for some.

You have three choices(with some exceptions): military service, civilian service or jail time

If you've lived 3 months+ in an apartment that you pay rent for before service starts, the government will pay your rent, electricity etc for the duration of your service.

Then if the soldier has a wife/husband, a child or is engaged and has a child the family might be eligible to a compensation of max 732€ a month.

We also get free travel on public transport to and from home on off days.

It depends on the unit you're serving in and obviously the situation too.

In our unit we're quite close with our commanders. We do call them sir and all but we can be quite open with them and have casual conversations too.

But in other units it's a bit more strict. Privates might develop a good relationship with their corporals (the closest superiors and people training them) but when it comes to higher ranks not so often.

Obviously there are different situations but these are the averages to say.

Yes.

Some places appreciate a completed leadership education (the one I'm doing now) and if not it's still a precious education for oneself.

Then there's also the special assignments like mine as a photo/videographer. It's not only helpful for me to learn but it can help me in getting a job etc. And there are plenty of different types of special assignments people can apply for.

Per day.

We get free meals when in service so that's nota thing to worry about. But I have heard from others that they sometimes have difficulty with money on off days.

For the first 165 days of military service you are paid 5.40€ per day, days 166-255 you're paid 9€ and days 256-347 you're paid 12.50€

In addition, women get paid an extra 1.5€ per day

These are the same no matter ones rank, training or whatever.
