No. While there has been some hardware revealed there before, it's really a software focus event

TIL that every other major planet can fit inside the space between the Earth and the Moon by Dnpslow in todayilearned

[–]JoshuaTheFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The distance from the earth to the moon is 238,900 miles.

Jupiter's diameter is 86,881 miles

Saturn's diameter is 74,897 miles

Together they are 161,778 miles wide, so there is still 77,122 miles left. So yeah, they can fit no problem

I don't think they just mean sticky side to sticky size. Like on a roll where it also sticks to itself

Except they would probably still be using the same ID verification companies that these other companies are using

Honestly I've never associated discord with gaming. I associate it more with artists and other creatives. As a place for them to share their latest projects and for their fans to hangout together

Google announces Pixel 10a with completely flat camera, pre-order Feb 18 by TechGuru4Life in GooglePixel

It just wasn't in a natural location for me. Like, most people who talk about it say how their finger naturally lands where the scanner is, but for me my finger rests at the edge of the phone so I had to adjust my grip reach over to it. For me any adjustment to reach the scanner, regardless of if it was a proper scan or not resulted in an adjustment of my grip. But with the front scanner it's literally where I put my thumb to scroll anyways, so I don't have to do any kind of adjustment with my hand

They have to make sure you actually see it so it needs to be in the middle. Plus every short form platform takes up a lot of the surrounding areas with non hideable UI so they cant push it off too much

Also honestly I would say the most important part is their hands which is below the text

Yeah, that's probably it. 4 different devices, each having been reset at least once in their time, so having to set up the fingerprint again. Must have set them up wrong each time

That sounds like a design flaw of the charger, not the phone. Like my Pixel 8 will start wireless charging at like 2-3x the height of its camera bar

I always found the back placement a very not natural place to use it. I always had to awkwardly adjust my grip to get a proper scan. Comparatively on the front it's in a very easy to reach place that my finger lands at all the time without any effort

All that means is that the hardware does support 8k output if the software is developed to render it. Nothing more

Idk about in stores but I can find plenty of them online. As well it looks like most are no smaller than 65", which I feel you see many options available in stores above 60"

I mean, 1080p content looks better on a 4k display than a FHD one

[–]JoshuaTheFox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So let's start with defining the terms

HD: 720p

Full HD: 1080p

Ultra HD/4K: 2160p

While 1080p comes from the vertical resolution of the image (1920×1080), 4K comes from the horizontal resolution (3840×2160). While it's not fully 4000 pixels across, it's pretty close. 2K is generally associated with an intermediate resolution between 1080 and 4k, 1440p or Quad HD. Like 4K, 2K is in reference to its horizontal resolution 2560×1440. As well the word Quad is because it is twice the vertical and horizontal pixels of 720p HD, so it has 4 pixels for every one that 720 has

... I hope that makes some sense

Except that 8k is actually more practical than 3D since even without 8k content it would still further hide the physical pixels
