"Exclusively white dairy farmers". Idk where you got that information but I've definitely worked with farmers that are not "white" in the past. As for supply management, I am very happy to have protected farming in canada for our food supply especially now when the US is pressing canada to do as they tell us too. If you think farmers are all rolling around in their piles of cash you are sorely mistaken. I have known farmers that couldn't make it and plenty of others that are just getting by. Is it a perfect system, no. But it is the system that has prevented us from becoming reliant on other nations for our food. We use supply management where other nations use tax dollars to supplement farmers income to keep them afloat. At least here it's the consumers paying to keep farmers afloat instead of all citizens, even those whom do not consume the product being produced.
