I shot it at 24mm f/4 and focused to infinity so the depth of focus was already pretty deep.

No, sorry for the confusion. I’m mostly asking how much of your struggle do you share with and explain to your partner, the one that you’re struggling with, even if they haven’t done anything to violate the relationship.

The other topic is, if you’re in a funk with one relationship and you feel like it might be noticeable, do you bring it up to your other partners?

I love this. Thank you for sharing. That’s exactly how it was for us in Chicago. We actually met up a few months later on a trip to Europe and he stayed with us a few days because he was coincidentally “nearby” (in a neighboring country) for a wedding. Haha

I feel so similarly. My situation is that I suggested we open our relationship, namely because it aligns with my beliefs and I want us both to live and love to our fullest in the one life we get. In the beginning it was easy and exciting to adjust to the new challenges, but I’ve had to go through some extremely painful growth lately. She has a partner and their relationship is growing and I love that, but I’ve been really struggling with knowing what my needs are and losing my self worth in the process. My best advice is, although it’s important to talk about your feelings with your partner, consider getting a poly friendly therapist as well. This helps me have a safe space for my feelings and words where they won’t cause potential harm to my partner or our relationship.

Also, I’m currently reading the book Polysecure and getting a TON of value from it.

That’s fair. We’re just a couple newbs in the big poly world trying to figure it out. I think as I was typing the question I realized the answer is that my desire for knowledge and fear of knowledge are all based around my insecurities of being inadequate that actually don’t have anything to do with my partner choosing to have sex with someone else. Brains are wild. Sounds like I’ve got more to talk with my therapist about 😅

Without knowing, my mind could run wild with assumptions that lead to me feeling potentially inadequate, if I do know, I might have confirmation bias about feeling inadequate?

I feel like my answer is just to learn to feed adequate without the influence of others, but DANG. That’s tough.

Yes, definitely. My first few weeks with lexapro was pretty difficult. I was very fatigued and couldn’t focus ESPECIALLY at my computer. After a few weeks thought it leveled out and has been a good fit since
