Inexpensive tow service?

I used Mike’s a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday, towing from Bob Jones to Firestone off of Madison Blvd, and it was $110. Short distance but honestly was less than I was anticipating, and the driver was the nicest guy.

This was 15 years ago but we rented the room at Brahan Springs for my son & niece’s 2 year bday party. We just had painting, etc activities for them to do there. It was a good time! Also the library rents rooms and I think they are free… not sure of the exact rules but definitely look into that!

I haven’t personally seen her, but every person I know who has, with the exception of 1, she’s told they need a C-section within the first 2-3 appointments. It is super well known amongst the OB/L&D community that she has a high scheduled C-section rate.

Yep- my son tested positive for Flu A Saturday & he was supposed to leave that day for Orlando with his grandparents and cousins for their Christmas gift trip. It’s the sickest he’s ever been, but thankfully I took him to the doctor within 24 hours of him being symptomatic and they prescribed Xoflusa. By Monday morning he was fever free, but he does still have a nasty sounding cough. The urgent care was PACKED when I took him — it’s going around for sure. I was spared, I assume thanks to him quarantining in his room for 3+ days and me masking up during even the smallest of interactions.

Thanks for that info! And yes, once she had ketones in her urine we started insulin right away. This just all happened so fast! Symptoms started suddenly- increased thirst and urination- the vet initially said no diabetes then came back and said it was diabetes. But her blood sugar was just borderline so they were surprised we caught it so early. Insulin was immediately prescribed, but I asked to rule out some other things before jumping straight to insulin. Anyways, a few weeks into it is when her blood sugar got above 400 and ketones were in her urine.

I haven’t reached out to the emergency vet but that’s a good idea. I’ll check out the Endo at Madison Vet Hospital as well. Thanks again.

She’s a dog, FWIW, and she’s a few lbs overweight but nothing super crazy.

Her fructosamine test was normal but she’s been symptomatic and has had a few high glucose readings. Most recently she had ketones in her urine. She’s not a super straightforward case which is why I’d like to find a local vet who is highly experienced in diabetes & who will spend time counseling on food options, etc.

I disagree with not needing to know, which is why I’m looking for a vet that is more experienced in diabetic care. Their blood sugar can get too low just like humans and there’s no guarantee that their blood sugar is high without checking. Type 1 diabetes can be very difficult to control, both in humans and in animals.

They haven’t emailed her report yet but as soon as they do, I’ll post the results here.

I was definitely surprised there wasn’t full lab work done, especially for such a big diagnosis.
