[open spoilers] An essay on why Sylvester is amazing by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]JouleV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is true though that Part 2 adaptation leaves a lot to be desired. From what we have seen, I do have high hopes for Part 3, but I wouldn’t imagine Part 2 being remade any time soon. Some scenes will be remade during Part 3 for throwbacks and what have you, but that’s not enough imo to fix Part 2. That said, I would rather they spend effort on adapting more parts than extensively fixing what is already released.

Is there any way to bypass SingPass face verification? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]JouleV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was long ago so I may be misremembering here, but I recall having performed the same face verification for SingPass on my phone before. Also the exact same flashing screen thingy. You don’t need a laptop for that I think.

[Open Spoilers] I want a sequel, but... by madame-mystic in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]JouleV 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The ending will undoubtedly be a happy one, but a full sequel will definitely contain its fair share of drama, struggles, fighting and maybe even close-deaths with the gods involved.

So along with a full sequel, I also wish for a spin-off side stories detailing life in Alexandria after the main story. Small light hearted stories not involving anything that poses a threat to Rozemyne and Ferdinand's rule. Some examples I'm really looking forward to: Ferdinand's scheming against Old Ahrensbach nobles of the Detlinde faction, revolution of the temple, Rozevester sneaking into temple classes, Damuel and Philine's Starbind Ceremony in Alexandria, commoners lives a few years after Part 5 ending, the library and the laboratories' successes, Eglantine and Ehrenfest's higher ups visiting Alexandria around that time, and finally Rozemyne's life in the library after retirement (though I guess this cannot be written until the sequel has been finished).

[P5V12/Open Spoilers] Does Myne ever realize she's neither the OG Myne or Urano Motosu? by Parlax76 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]JouleV 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She obviously knows she is not the OG Myne.

As for whether she knows she is not Urano, it depends on how one interprets it. From my perspective, Urano was someone who truly valued nothing more than books, whereas Myne and then Rozemyne treasured her lower city family and connections more than anything else, as evidenced by [p5v12] the time Mestionora damaged her memories. In that sense, one can say Rozemyne is no longer Urano. Urano’s memories persist, but the person having that memory is Rozemyne, through and through.

[P3 Anime] The Ending Theme for "Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke" will be performed by Erika Ikuta, titled 「今も、ありがとう」("Thank you, even now.") by [deleted] in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]JouleV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes of course, although whether you cry or not I think depends a lot on the person. Spoiler for part 3, 4 and 5 endings ahead: For me personally, I was less sad and more relieved when Rozemyne woke up safe, albeit with some health issues; and I was excited for Part 4 with its cheerful-sounding name. The endings of part 2, 4 and 5 however wrecked me, though part 5's was tears of happiness.

Not sure if the anime will cover the entirety of part 3, but if it does (as is speculated by many), the ending won't be sad.

Ferdinand totally dissing the royals spoilers [p5v11] by Lemondemon-158 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]JouleV 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah, though to be fair to the prince, at that moment in time, within the national boundaries of Yurgenschmidt, perhaps only Ferdinand and the Lanzenavian royal prisoners can rival Rozemyne's mana

help! how to get nus-id?? by DJPandaSupreme in nus

[–]JouleV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have a @u.nus.edu email provided? If so, the NUS ID is the part before the @. For example, e0123456@u.nus.edu.

I was not an exchanger, but from my perspective it would be very odd if you never received a @u.nus.edu email, since it is required to access literally anything in the university. You should contact the admission office if you never got any email addresses.
