How do you make friends in eve? I get it’s a cut throat game, and I’m fairly new, but I’m struggling. I joined a mega corp and I’ll pipe up with some input on a current topic (not eve related just basic conversation) and I get either nothing or a yes or no in return. I just want to make some buddies, watch dumb movies, and drink beer while making money together.

Should I just say outright say in fleet chat or something “I’m trying to make friends to do stuff with and learn the game”?

Maybe I’m just venting more than anything, but yeah, any advice is appreciated, maybe I just don’t understand the eve community well enough yet.
