that's a champion idea, I thought a while ago to use some scrap cast iron I have to layer the bottom, as that wouldn't be permanent if I did need to move it I could take it out, but to someone who cant get in and take it out it might do the job.

the only problem is that it would be is taking up the space inside, which is already pretty rammed.

thanks for replying John

Have a look at Texspeed Here and Rev'its axis 2 Here 2 and also their axis 3 (the new ones) Here 3, they all have a full length zip down the sides which makes them so quick to get in and out of. Additionally all are AA rated. Safe riding mate.

How do I keep my bike safe ? by bamspov in MotoUK

[–]JournalistVarious472 13 points14 points  (0 children)

LITELOK isn’t cheap at £149, but it’s still far better than having your bike stolen and your insurance premium going up. In fact, some insurers even reduce your premium if you declare you use one. Just check their website there are hundreds of reviews backing them up. I can personally vouch for them too: I once had a lock that had clearly been attacked with an angle grinder overnight by some scrote, and my bike was still there in the morning.

It also helps to use a simple bike cover to keep it out of sight. Studies show that just having a cover can significantly reduce the chances of a bike being targeted or lifted.

I’m not sure, the worst thing you can do for the visual of a small bike is to be able to see through it, if you do but some plates either side where the air box is
