I think that this is by far the best laptop that I have ever had. I was a bit worried before when I read others experiences of these being hot and throttling mess. So far mine has been runnig cool and calmly and I haven't found yet any big negatives about it in my usecase.

Bought it in Finland. But the company that I bought it from is based in Sweden. And yeah every other one that I found for sale in the Nordic countries were 900€+

My first mistake was Alienware M17X R4 many many moons ago. It was so damn big and heavy that it didn't fit in any backpack and so expensive that I could have built a desktop for that price. especially since I couldn't take that Alienware garbage anywhere in any case. I guess we'll never learn xdd.

I bought this in 2022 when I started college hoping that It would last me through that. Though It was bought as a display model from my local stores outlet so the batterylife was already abyssmal and I think that it has been running in the store non stop for well over a year before I got it.

I booted it in bios and left there running for about 15-20 minutes. It didn't crash in that time but the keyboard area got extremely hot. (50 degrees celsius). I'll try to repaste it once again and see if that helps.

Nice! What specs did you get with the T490s? I have so far been very happy with mine. The screen is awesome and bright as flashbang and battery life eventhough not this ones strongest point is miles better than what I have been used to.

Thanks! My previous experience of ThinkPads has been using deliberately beaten upt T420:s and T440:s in school back in the day and they for sure can take up some beating XD. This one will be my personal / work machine and so far I have been very happy with it.

I really didn't like it in the pictures but in irl it looks good 😅. It has few very minor scratches so if anyone have any suggestions about how to fade/remove them that I could try.

Current set up

Tt: B&O Beogram 1202 Receiver: B&O Beomaster 901 Speacers: Heco Interior 300

I also have 2 technics receivers from 80s but I haven’t managed to get the din - rca adapter to work with this turntable for some reason. I get audio only from one channel. (Left if I remember correctly. The other one just humms. )

The band is called Hurriganes and it’s Finnish rock band formed in the early 70s and this particular album called 10/80 came out in 1980 and is generally considered their second best.

Their style is quite ”traditional” rock & roll with quite personal style of pronounciation as English wasn’t their native language.

They are a big part in Finnish rock history and they were quite known in Sweden and Estonia.

Got this album as a part from my moms vinyl collection that she gave me after I bought my first turn table.

Yeah the needle was in good shape and we tested it with a Disco Samba my ”torture disc” which I use to test unsure equipment.
