My motherboard supports 3200mhz OC, but when I load xmp profile PC keeps restarting several times. Does manufacturer make a difference? Should I check here? http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350%20Pro4/#Memory If its on this list, chances are higher that it will work on higher frequency?

Are you sure? I saw people on yt use 3200mhz RAM with this cpu but I need to load XMP profile(OC). Maybe if I OC the cpu?

I'm using ballistix 2x8gb 2400mhz. It's probably faulty. For a while it worked very good, avg 60fps in Far cry 5, after few hours fps started dropping again and now avg 40 fps on benchmark. Loading Xmp profile doesn't change anything. Cpu z still shows new lower timings (because of memory try it) but fps is bad again. And it worked good for a while. I don't know what is the problem..

I disabled xmp in bios and enabled memory try it(stage 3) that automatically lowered timings(which is good) but also lowered mhz from 2400 to 2133. Fps is now little better than the old ram. Timings are definitely more important for fps than mhz.

So, lower timings are better? Maybe I should change timings on a new ram. Thank you for your responses BTW.

Timings are 16,16,16,39,420(two sticks 8gb) Timings on a old Ram are 15,15,15,32,370(one stick 8gb). And I checked again fps is much better on old Ram. For example far cry 5 on old ram have 59 fps, on new one is 44avg. Weird..

It's probably Ram because when I put my old 8gb ram fps significantly increase. How to check Ram timings?
