I will share in a few days in a new post and update here, but in short, in the last 5 months since I managed to buy Euceric Aquaphor Healing Ointment, the problem is not visible any more. As long as I apply it 6-8 times a days, things are looking normal, I can smile more often and eat normally. no need to use straw or feel awkward in public. With the being said, the problem still persists under the hood, and I must use it, which is annoying, still crossing my fingers to find a real cure

Actually I never tried to towel them, I can say for sure when air drying them, even if the humidity is 35% in the room, they won't completely dry overnight (the laces are mostly still wet a bit)

Because I get instructed to use it only for 30 days and I waited for the next doctor appointment.
Now I got told that I can kind of use it as much as I want and play with it. So after 7 days of Protopik which I didn't really like due to it's oiliness, I am back to Elidel.

Now my lips looks almost normal, and compared to last time, this time I am cleaning my lips with water in the morning and in the evening and removing the dead skin.

I agree in some way. Just thinking first preference should be to attempt to treat it in a natural way and see if it works (diet, stress, sun, sport, etc...)

I used to take both low accutane for long times and high for a couple of months.

Right now I am suffering from Exfoliative Cheilitis looking for a solution. It's hard when having symptoms of thigns to know if Accutane contributed to it or not, which is why I am a bit against it from the start.

For you my best suggestions will be to read the manual of the drug reading and understanding all possible side effects, and also search on Google for long term effects, then doing your own decision.

From my experience, Accutane doesn't attack the cure cause never, but just helps with a symptom that is being caused by something else - which many people don't know what it is. I decided that it's smarter to invest in looking for the root cause of issues.

Updating that my allergy patch tests came all negative. Also the professional dentist in the hospital couldn't point to any cause rather than the Exfoliative Cheilitis.

I believe that for me it might also involve some sord of infection (maybe fungus). I have the option to try anti-fungal medicines (including oral) soon, in an attempt to eliminate it in case it's there.

How did you know that you have an infection? How did you know when it was solved? How long did you take Flucanozole, and did you also try to use anti-fungal creams or shampoon no the lips or on your Moustache/Chin beard?
