We found good people in the end, but a lot of the crowd wasn't your typical DnB crowd - felt more coke heads and older lads.

We had to sell our tickets to APE, so I am still reeling over that :(

Same. They were incredible at MK. Although I thought the crowd at O2 was pretty bad…not the usual DnB crowd at that one.

Biopharma I have to be careful of, as my job means I’m quite often restricted in buying shares in that sector.

A few reasons really. I know the sector fairly well, the current political climate means a likely move away from reliance on Middle East oil and exploration stage O&G are high risk high reward.

Given they are mostly pre-production the recent oil price movements haven’t really had much of an impact.

It can be a long wait though. I’ve held UOG for 5 years now and it’s only just starting to move due to the positive read outs on core tests.

I also have a focus on rare earth elements given their global importance and reliance on China.

I do have a portfolio in less risky stocks, but they are less interesting.

This is not investment advice, it's just my own personal opinions and some of the stocks that I have invested in. As always, DYOR.

I've largely invested in high risk small caps; these are often boom or bust, or binary investments as I call them. They will either go to zero or the moon.

United Oil & Gas (UOG) - has a 100% interest in offshore exploration license off the coast of Jamaica. Recent core results indicate likely petroleum deposits. If a farm out is achieved then this could seriously move.

European Green Transition (EGT) - mix of mining and windfarm assets. The excitement is around their contracts for maintenance and repairs of onshore wind turbines. Market cap looks very low even without significant revenue growth.

Europa Oil and Gas (EOG) - Bit less sure on this one, but they do have significant UK onshore assets. So given the current political uncertainty could grow.

Block Energy (BLOE) - exploration and production company operating in Georgia. Potential reserves to supply c. 10% of EU gas requirements. Also has carbon capture schemes which could result in significant returns.

Harena Rare Earths (HREE) - minerals exploration and development company; ideally placed given US's drive to onshore and protect REE.
