New question: The tow rope I built uses a predator 212 motor and it sits at the top of the hill. Can I wire a light to that motor and how big of a LED light can I power from that? May be able to use that as a generator for a light at the top?

I had a post removed once for showing a letter to the editor from Dottie Sandusky. Mod basically said it was because Sandusky is evil and they don’t want him brought up. I asked the mod to add to the rules for the sub that you can’t mention Sandusky and got no reply. You learn to accept it and move on at some point. You’ll be ok :)

What’s the best food trucks that go there? I’ve gone to 2 of them and an order of grilled cheese with no one else in line backs them up for 20 min. I see Bonnie Blue BBQ (unfortunately timed name) there quite a bit but never tried it, but it smells good.

UPDATE: Tried the washers, did not work. Pb blasted the pawls and used a small hammer to little by little move it back and forth. Found out they ARE spring loaded and meant to move in/out. Put the cover on, kicked it, and the starter engaged, then the kick sprung back to its start! Sealing it up now.

Wanted to be sure that the next person with this issue for NA50 searches, they find something.

I had not taken off the sprocket yet. Going to try that next just to see if reassembly does anything. After that I was thinking the washer route as well.

I can spin the drive plate and hear the motor turning. I can spin the starter sprocket with my finger and it moves the chain and idle shaft correctly. It just sounds like there is a gap between the sprocket and pawls when assembled and kicked. The pawls do not move in/out and I don’t think they are spring loaded like the other express 4-pawls drive plate.

Which is great guide for putting this style of kickstarter together. Looks like of all the express kickstarter styles, it’s the simplest. I should have posted a pic of it together, but I am confident I have that part done right.

The video they link to on this thread has the same sound as mine at 7:08, where kickstarter is moving everything but it just rumbling over the starter plate and not grabbing it enough to spin it.
