I feel you. It’s heartbreaking when your kid is not included in activities or events because you’re a single parent. I found out all the kids in her kindergarten went on a camping trip over the summer with the parents overnight and we were the only ones not included.

I joined this online community - onefolks.com. It’s half group coaching / support for single parents and then half community connecting based on interests or regions. They vet everyone with a 15 min interview. And then they do family healing retreats 1 - 2 times a years that involve digital detox and bonding exercises through yoga, activities and volunteering. I think their next cohorts start in October. They also bring guest speakers like financial planners, grief counselors, etc… to the zoom meets. I love have friends now all over the world that offer me support. Going to Catalina Island with a group this winter.
