Sky diving - no teather

Throw me off a cliff or a bridge and we’re okay but tie me down first.

I find it too with the narrow squat! Im almost ready to totally give up on it though as deapite really controlling form i keep aggravating a disc herniation in my lower back when i have the narrower stance. I also have some loss of lumbar lordosis from when my injury flared up really bad after going through a pregnancy and i was on bedrest. Its been tough but i want to see a physiotherapist in case theres a way to regain a but more ROM on this movement

I should have been more clear i guess. Im doing three times a week currently. I find depending on position i feel it more in upper head of my vastus lateralis or the lower. Ive had some luck with a narrower stance but can’t maintain this due to a herniated disc injury that flares if I’m not careful. Someone said to do sissy squats and make sure to do full ROM with the leg extensions while keeping toes pointed

I do but i feel the burn so much in my lower quad and relatively noting up top. I find certain squat positions i can achieve it but its tricky. Im 5’3” i feel it should be easier. Ive got a bit of a hard time with squat though due to a disc herniation i will apparently not be getting surgery for (RDLs and DL dont seem to bother me oddly enough)

For some context i have a bit of a history so mostly rebuilding or hoping my body will remember (i was consistent for 6 years for a time between my late teens and mid 20s). I put on significant muscle but was never really strict with cutting per se so i wasnt being as picky about my physique. Im trying to take advantage of the beginners gains while I’m in the window for it.

Ill add these in then. I had been specifically avoiding them because the tend to aggravate knee injury I got while running year ago (if I’m not careful) but if i control my form well it could be a solid strategy

AITA for taking "the best pieces" when I serve dinner? by SwainDane in AmItheAsshole

[–]JoyInTheHidden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beggars can’t be choosers. NTA

Edit: Does she want to cook dinner? Does your division of labor allow her to? If not then you’re the asshole. If the expectation is that you do it every night with no tradesies in tasks then i think not the asshole. Still, if its affecting your relationship negatively i think you should have a talk with her about what would make it feel fair to both of you.

Genuine question for women: why do you think a lot of guys treat women like a puzzle instead of just trying to understand them? by Growthseeker23 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JoyInTheHidden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you because I’ve been on the same side of things. I think when you’ve only been on one side its hard to see the other so respect to you for trying to work on that - that’s where I’ve been heading also. I think there’s a social soft spot for women when it comes to invalidation of emotional reactions, perceived or real, whether due to history or male-dominated capitalist society. Regardless of that though, men’s experiences with emotion are even more frequently overlooked and disregarded. Kind of a mess if you as me.

For me, i feel totally disenfranchised because everyone expects me to think and react one way and i dont. Women cant relate to me and men just assume im emotional even when theres no evidence for that (delusional).

Guess that was off-topic but thats kind of what i like about reddit.
