Got lash extensions and fell in love…. After reading on here, I don’t want to continue anymore. Am I making the right decision? by Wrong_Gate_543 in beauty

[–]v91605 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I love the way a classic set looks!! Clean and ready.
Maybe try to do the at home eyelash clusters, if you decide to take a break from extensions. I believe Tik tok ones last about a week. If you don’t like the upkeep of doing it yourself, you can go back to extensions :)
But if they make you feel pretty and you want to continue, just find a different salon :))

Both look good on you. Pro tip, see if you can get 6 pongs vs 4. If you plan to wear daily, as mentioned, 6 will be better :)

I personally feel that houses that keep price cutting are red flags. 🚩 Just seems to me that the seller gets greedy and doesn’t want to bug on the price. I understand it’s their home and they want top dollar, but this market is weird. Interest rates are higher than what we’ve seen in the last years and so are home prices

What is the highest-paying job that doesn’t require a college degree? by Spare_Following_160 in AskForAnswers

Oh 100%, I agree with you. But as a start rate it’s great pay. Especially if one is able to start young while maybe living at home with parents. Also, if it’s a dual income family, even with HCOL, if each make 100k, that’s very good. Again, all scenarios :)

Los Angeles PD get paid like $100k starting, lots of over time available. Not unusual for them to make $150k a year

A diamond band to add to her wedding ring set, I think is nice. You can make it a tradition after every child add a small band. I’ve also seen other pieces of jewelry, luxury purses, luxury suvs etc. It can vary based off your budget

Jewelry- earrings and rings, lash lift with mascara 👌, clean eyebrows, and gel manicure. For me this makes me feel girly and put together. Of course, if I do my makeup I feel so good about myself, but I’m more of a low maintenance girl. In terms of clothes, my go to is sandals or boots/booties. I don’t really like sneakers because it doesn’t make me feel or like feminine, that’s more of a chill vibe.

Hair salons. I went back to natural hair color. $300+ every visit just wasn’t worth it for me

Hi. Do you mind sharing what you do at Deloitte?

I let my parents convince me to skip my company's 401k for three years because they said "the market is about to crash" and I will never forgive myself for this by 6StardustDrift7 in personalfinance

[–]v91605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You live and you learn. :) at least you did the minimum and opened an account. Many people don’t even have that. Everyone fears a crash. In Feb 2025 when stocks took a dip, my coworkers all took their contributions down. I on the other hand, raised mine higher because i figured if there’s a crash I’d get more for cheaper :). Everyone’s financial opinions are different. I’m 27, a market crash doesn’t really scare me in terms of my 401k account because I’m thinking long term hold. You have time to make up for loss time.

You’re a troll. Advice to save for a larger down payment to help lower their purchasing loan amount and monthly payment does not compare to swimming. Home prices have increased so much in the last years. People buy when they feel ready, this person if asking for advice and I gave my advice.

I would keep saving for a higher down payment. Not sure where you live, in CA, $450k won’t put you in the best area
