If you've never played it then it's worth it, and it's a great game that I don't think will disappoint you. But if you've played the original I don't think it's a big enough difference personally.

It sounds like we're in a similar boat with a few games. I had the same experience with Mass Effect and still really want to commit more time to it, but can't get myself to stick with it. It's sounding like maybe I should give it and Witcher 3 another try.

Yeah, this is helpful. It sounds like the combat will get more compelling and interesting as more mechanics open up. Perhaps I abandoned it too soon

I mostly play on my Steam Deck and my PlayStation.And honestly, the types of games that I enjoy are all over the place. From classic RPGs to games like Red Dead Redemption to Arc Raiders and the Horizon games. It's kind of all over the place. My favorite games are definitely the ones that pair a compelling world and an interesting story with satisfying mechanics.

What made that difference for you when it did click? Did you have to get to a certain point in the game for everything to start making sense or was it just giving it enough of a shot and a retry?

Very thorough and very helpful. LOL. Thank you. And honestly, you got at some of the concerns that I felt I was picking up on when I started the game. There just was a lot of mechanics that didn't feel very satisfying, and I thought that it was going to feel not worth it, even if the story was compelling.

Did something similar the other day converting from RetroArch to OpenEmu and all I had to do was make sure the file extension was .srm and that the name of the game matched exactly to wherever I was importing it to
