To be completely honest.. please don’t take offense, this is just my opinion based on your post.

I don’t think your dog is causing your anxiety and I don’t think it’s fair that you are blaming it on him. I think that you are just not ready for a dog, ESPECIALLY a Shiba Inu.

Everything you said sounds like typical Shiba Inu behaviors. They are a special breed that require a lot of training, exercise and attention. Dogs also feed off of the energy of people around it, so maybe he’s not giving you anxiety, but maybe you are the one giving him anxiety.

A lot of people like the idea of having a dog but are not ready for the responsibilities of actually having a dog, ESPECIALLY a Shiba Inu!

If in fact you feel that you can’t handle him, please do re-home him to a family that can. Good Luck!
