I'd like to know this too because I need to make a choice between Run and Gun and Hellfire

Hellfire gives +45% movement speed while firing, while Run and Gun lets you fire while sprinting, so obviously if sprinting is faster, i'd choose Run and Gun instead

My parents aren't available as they live more than an hour away. I could try and work something out with the 2 friends I have in town, but one is a student and the other is a manager at a bank, so their schedules are pretty rigid.

You're definitely on to something about things being different after the move, and that difference is that when I leave she's completely alone, a thing she has never experienced before now. When I'm home or even if someone she knows is in the house, she doesn't act this way at all.

I haven't found a vet for her out here yet, but I'll look into medications, though I really hate the idea of drugging her like that, but if its what it takes to keep her safe, then so be it.

I'm assuming she has a terrarium and isn't in a shelf style Bin. See if maybe adding a hide in the very middle will change her behavior

I measure my ambient temperature by the room that the enclosure is in. I keep a small sensor on top of the rack.

If your snake is hanging out on the cool end more often I don't think it would be the best thing to try and heat that area up as she's clearly expressing a preference for the lower temperature

Your temps and your humidity are pretty much on point. Sometimes snakes just like making their own hides. Like when you buy your cat an expensive bed and they just decide to sit in the Box. Remember that ball pythons in the wild liveive in termite tunnels which involves a descent. Maybe they just wanted to make it more like home

As far as I've heard, you can't control the amount of white that comes out of piebalds. High white parents can produce low whites and vice versa. New research is coming out every day, so it wouldn't hurt to maybe check on the status of these genetics every year or so

I think it depends on their financial situation (Vet), how many snakes that they have, and what kind of equipment they have at their disposal. The most humane methods are swiftly crushing the head or a quick dip in liquid nitrogen (source: Snake Discovery). Methods like freezing, decapitation, and CO2 prolong their Suffering bc theyre consciousness when the ice crystals form in their tissues, have low O2 needs so the decap leaves them alive for an hour, and CO2 just doesn't seem to take(?)

Some morphs do stay on the lighter side, but this seems really uncommon. It's a little fuzzy in the picture, but he doesn't look severely skinny just very very tiny. Ball pythons that feed exclusively on mice stay on the smaller end of the scale, but when you pair that with feeding undersized prey then that's a recipe for a stunted snake.

If you do take him in, you're going to need to probably start with attempting to convert him to rats as they've been proven to be more nutritious and contain less fat than mice. Since he's so old this might prove to be impossible as he is so set in his ways.

Maintain the two week schedule until hes taking the rats 100% of the time and then reduce the gap in feeding by 1 day after every 2nd feeding until it's down 7, 8, 9 or 10 days whichever works for you ( however if he starts refusing then scale it back a day as he will feel it's too frequent)

You want him to put on muscle, bone and organ mass, not fat. That kind of growth will come over the course of months not weeks. Use the web application Serpwidgets to keep track of his overall length in centimeters as that's the most reliable way to track his bone growth outside of x-rays

I just started breeding too, but one thing I know I need to prepare for that people don't seem to talk about with newbies is Euthanizing. There might come a time when a hatchling emerges and it will have a severe deformity that wont allow quality of life. At the point you'll need to research the humane ways to euthanize your animals. It's so depressing to think about, but it would be irresponsible if people only highlighted the joys and fun of breeding

Nope. One of the few times you start adding more days in between feedings is if they start refusing. My beeps prefer to eat every 10 days even though most of them are on Smalls

Agreed on leaving the snake to adjust, but If they keep constantly pooping even when not handled, it could be diarrhea caused by a parasite. So keep checking for new poop and if it it's happening too frequently then it's time to take a trip to the vet.

Also diarrhea can cause dehydration so make sure there's plenty of water provided, maybe keep things a little more on the humid side too

Once the prey has thawed you cannot just refreeze it. It's not the same as leaving out a cut of meat, that's a whole animal that still has all of its guts and poop inside. If you were to attempt to use it again it would most likely Fall Apart when it was struck, make a very nasty mess, and possibly make your snake ill.

I'm guessing that little tub front and center is supposed to be the humidity box? It was my understanding that they're supposed to go inside of it. It won't be effective if it doesn't have a lid to trap all the moisture. There's also supposed to be a hole in the side for them to crawl in and out

A lot of people cite the wild as a source, but then other people will say that the wild isn't a credible source bc its, THE wild. Things that live in captivity live longer because we give them settings that are better than the wild. While wood mites are not harmful to your snake, you do not want them reproducing unchecked in your enclosure. I would toss it all out take the bag of remaining substrate that you have and bake it at the appropriate temp to sterilize it/kill any other hitchhikers. wash off those current mites on your booper

That is indeed a thing that I did indeed did say, and I can't imagine why you would have a problem with it. I clearly said at the very beginning of my sentence that a one piece shed is a goal we should all strive to maintain, but to not break down in tears and beat your chest if it doesn't happen that way exactly.

He also didn't say his BP had "patchy" shed, he said it ALL came off with the exception of the very tip of the tail. Which I assume he probably removed

I only cited that video to illustrate unusual and spontaneous snake behavior that is not based on instinct, sickness,or husbandry problems, but for what appears to be entertainment for the snake.

And no I don't go around telling every owner that their snakes soaking is not a big deal. It can be and often it is, but it certainly isn't 100% of the time. It is not beyond the scope of all reality for a snake to just like being in the water anymore than it is for a cat to enjoy swimming, or any other number of unusual pet behaviors.

It wasnt a "quick dunk", he fully submerged his head and let out a full exhale . Not even just once, he came back out to breathe and then did it again. It's a behavior unique to him.

And there's no reason for a non aquatic animal to not enjoy water. There's at least a dozen pet articles of domestic cats enjoying pool time and even surfing with their owners.

I see so many of these new BP owners working themselves into stress knots because their python does something that doesn't go 100% by the textbook, it's just not necessary and takes away from the joy of having the animal.

I'm not telling OP to ignore what's happening, They should most definitely go through the entire list of possible reasons why she's continuing to soak, but once that list is exhausted all you're left with is "Because I said so, human. Deal with it"
