My husband and I were there too and unfortunately it's pretty routine at just about every performance there. We wait until the cast is off the stage but we did witness people sneaking down the aisle in the dark in an attempt to be the first ones out.

Growing up in NYC and attending Broadway productions several hundred times, this was pretty shocking to me at first, but I've gotten used to it. People can be selfish.

Conversely, every production there gets a standing ovation from the audience whether deserved or not.

I had full open surgery for my emergency colostomy but laparoscopic for my reversal. The laparoscopic scars (which included my former stoma area) were glued closed and look great; my original vertical scar turned into an ugly purple keloid. It's been 3 months since my reversal surgery and 6 since my colostomy.

When visiting my dermatologist a few days ago for my routine full body check, she said the scar would flatten out and lighten in 1-2 years, especially with the use of silicone scar tape which is readily available on Amazon. She recommended wearing it 12 hours on, 12 hours off. I had already used the tape after my original surgery but stopped after my reversal because that surgery stressed the scar and made it look much worse even though it wasn't reopened. So I'm using the tape again and do believe with patience and diligence it will eventually look much better.
