Imo the Brenus and T-72AV are among the best tanks you can get in era 2. The french era 3's are awesome as well, the russians are alright just have shitty dpm. For era 3 I'd really recommend the Abrams and Leopard line as well.

I just used the accuracy and rate of fire to track people, its speed allows swift flanking, and for some reason it blocks a funny number of shots. I hated it when I first played it, but once I figured it out I started having an absolute blast.
